    Yeah, that's what keeps me on the AR9. The ergonomics. The manual of arms is superior to other platforms and on my setup, I have enough rail space to comfortably a light and a switch. My overall barrel length including the suppressor is about 10". Its a very nimble setup without being overly small.

    Overgassing does cause accelerated wear. That is also the best way to tune your gas, assuming that your gas adjustments are fine enough. What sucks is when one setting isn't enough gas and the next is way over gassed.

    Manufacturer is irrelevant. Anyone can have a bad part get passed quality control. Contact them and send them pictures. What sucks is that they are likely going to want the whole rifle back for inspection.
