Rifle Scopes Looking for feedback on Falcon Optics

I had a 4-14x Falcon with the illuminated reticle. I started seeing black floaters in the sight picture, which would also illuminate with the reticle when I turned on illumination. Then, after maybe 2,000 rounds, the illumination dial physically popped off the scope and was hanging by wires...

    Rifle Scopes zeiss HD-5

It's the AR that I posted a photo of above. I was shooting relatively light .223 loads (77 grain black hills blue box). As disappointed as I am, I think I'm probably going to try another Zeiss HD5....there's not a whole lot of options out there in 3-15x that light in weight, or with that...

    Rifle Scopes zeiss HD-5

Just a little update - my Zeiss Conquest HD5 (3-15x42) is not holding zero. It was mounted correctly (I used to be the "scope mounting guy" in my dad's gun shop) and it's certainly not me....groups are tight as ever, but both the windage and elevation will be 2-3" off from the last time I fired...

Will the MagPul Stock UBR 7-Position Collapsible Assembly AR-15 Synthetic fit ?

+1 Be forewarned - If you go with the UBR it will add about 1 lb to your build (that's in addition to what it would weigh with a more traditional carbine stock like the Vltor IMOD, SOPMOD, Magpul MOE, etc.) It's honestly my favorite stock out there, but I'll probably never buy one again...

    Rifle Scopes zeiss HD-5

You gotta remember, it's a hunting scope....with a picture of a big, beautiful elk on the box. :D That's not to say guys don't like them for target shooting, but I think there are clearly better options for that application. 600 yards with a .308 will be more than enough distance for most...

    Rifle Scopes zeiss HD-5

The HD5 is a great scope, and I don't think you could do better for $1,000, so long as it has all the features you want/need. Yeah, you can get more features on a scope for $1,000, but it's going to cost you in glass quality and weight. I was torn between this and the Trijicon 5-20x. The HD5...

Rifle Scopes BSA tactical scope 4-14x weight?

For a 22, you won't regret it...the mil/mil setup makes for a lot of fun, and I find I can utilize my 22 at further distances than I did before. I zeroed at 50 yds and we have a heck of a good time trying to make head shots on possums, crows, and squirrels at 100 yards with the right holdover...

Rifle Scopes BSA tactical scope 4-14x weight?

It's actually closer to 28 oz. And I can tell you from first hand experience, that's actually a damned good scope for the money. This one is a Midway exclusive, and from what I understand, the build quality is quite different from other BSA stuff. I have roughly 10,000 rounds of trigger time...

    My little Noveske min-sniper rifle...

Thanks again guys! It's a neat little gun to shoot...definitely proof that shorter barrels can be every bit as accurate as longer ones (just not as flat shooting at longer distances). Thanks! I would undoubtedly go with an AR platform 308 and I'm sure I will get/build one later, but AR...

    My little Noveske min-sniper rifle...

Thanks, fellas. I ordered this one back in November just before everything went nuts, and it shipped out the day before John Noveske passed away. :( With ammo being so hard to find, I've barely put 500 rounds through it. Normally it would be around 2-3k by now. Yep...those and SBR's are...

    My little Noveske min-sniper rifle...

Thanks...not even close to professional, though. Just a DSLR camera that I use to shoot pictures for my business website (not at all gun related). :) Noveske makes some great stuff. I already have two stainless 16" barrels, and range isn't a concern on this rifle, so I went for the 14.5"...

    My little Noveske min-sniper rifle...

Nah....that was several of us shooting, and several weeks worth. No rain, so we just left the brass out there until it was worth sweeping it up.

    My little Noveske min-sniper rifle...

Thank you! Not yet, but I'm looking to get the AAC 762-SDN-6 after I get the bolt gun built...hopefully I can file the paperwork in time to have it in time for fall hunting.

    My little Noveske min-sniper rifle...

Hi guys - I'm new here. I currently have some neat AR's and do quite a bit of shooting, but am wanting to put together a .308 bolt gun, so I came here to learn. I'm getting ready to move to a larger property, hence the interest in .308 bolt guns. :D Anyways, here's one of my favorite...

    Buffer tube kits

If you want the best buffer tube money can buy, I'd recommend taking a look at the VLTOR A5 system. I used it in a recent build (only turned out to be about a $30-40 upgrade if I remember correctly) and it's pretty remarkable how smooth it shoots. It's a 7 position tube, which is cool in and...

    $ 4,000.00 Want a semi auto .308 which platform

I'd get in line for a Larue PredatOBR, or wait for Noveske to re-release the N6. I'll wait for the Noveske, personally. Whatever they're doing, it should be good. :)

one piece scope mount for ar?

The Burris PEPR works well. If you want something a few ounces lighter, but just as sturdy, check out the DNZ Freedom Reaper mount. It's a little less expensive than the Burris if you're going with a 1" tube. If you go 30mm, the price jumps up quite a bit. Here's one I had on a little 14.5"...

Rifle Scopes Zeiss Conquest HD5 Riflescope Press Release

This is a lightweight predator (mostly coyote) rig that I recently built. 8.75 lbs unloaded, including glass and bipod. I went with the HD5 in 3-15x42 with the Rapid-Z 600 reticle. Because of the light weight and 3-15x magnification, this has to be the most versatile setup I've ever owned. I...

Rifle Scopes anybody been in this boat scope shopping?

I came up in my dad's gun shop, where Leupold was considered high-end (and I'm not talking Mk 4's). As I've gotten older (and money to play) I've been thoroughly impressed with Nightforce, Zeiss, and Trijicon stuff....Trijicon really blows me away for the money. Nothing wrong with a Mk...

    Geissele

That's what they say, but I've had the SD-C and SSA, and it feels like a whooooole lot more than a 1 lb difference. The pull feels half the weight and the break feels 100% more crisp on the SD-E. There's just no comparison for precision rig...SD-E and SD-C shouldn't even be looked at as...
