I just use hoppes solvent to clean the ram and linkage. Then i just use motor oil (5w40)to lube the ram again. Cycle the press a bunch so the oil can spread. Seems to work fine for me and I haven't had any rust problems. Mine is the hornady lock n load single stage.

    Atlas CAL2 bipod is solid..

I've been loving my gen 2 cal as well. I came. From a Harris bipod that did its job just fine, but the atlas quality definitely felt like a upgrade for me at least.

Just a quick update, everything was good today @ range. Rifle shot great, no issues with ammo, and case length grew a little bit after 2nd firing and still chambers easily so I will neck size it again and see what happens on third firing of it. Thank you to everyone that had helpful info.

Go gauge will close and nogo will not. Headspace is within spec. So tomorrows range day we will see if everything is back in order, I'm assuming it will be as I don't see any other issues with my setup.

    Hornady brass explosion

Will do. Im almost wondering if that ring did cause some pressure issues. A few of the rounds that I fired, I could not drop a bullet in the neck. Most of them I could but there was a few that would not easily accept a bullet. My boretech products should be arriving Friday and I will get...

    Hornady brass explosion

So I'm working on my once fired hornady brass and am following this advice. I measure all the once fired brass and it was pretty consistent at 1.530 on my headspace Comperator on the calipers. I had to screw die down a little bit more than you suggested cuz at first it was pushing the...

    Hornady brass explosion

I have a cheapo caldwell chrono, but in this particular day I did not have it out with me when the case separation happened. I am going to remove the rifle from my chassis and have it inspected. I am also going to scrub the carbon ring out. I did finally buy some lapua brass to try out, but...

    Hornady brass explosion

This is a weak point for me. I use the ghetto socket in the drill method. And on this lot of brass that failed I didn't use tempilaq.:censored: I turned lights real low and stopped when they just started to glow. I know it's far from the correct way,I just haven't been able to get a annealer...
