    #1) What brass was Nosler using and what brass are you using? #2) I don't think 4831SC is appropriate for a 20" 260 Rem if you're looking for good velocity. You might try RL-17.

    I get 2800 fps with an A-Max 140, 43.0gr H4350 in a 24" barrel.

    Based on my experience with several 260s, 44.2gr of H4350 is real hot. My H4350 loads max out in bolt actions at 42.8-43.0.

    Since this is the place for stupid questions.... I have found that when I place the front scope cap so it opens up it's a whole lot more distracting/annoying then when it opens towards the right side of the rifle. When the scope cap opens to the right the body of the scope blocks the view...

    To put in perspective.... I started with a Bushnell 10X fixed out to 1000 yards and I had no trouble seeing/hitting the 6" and 10" targets at 1000. I moved to an SWFA 12X fixed and I have no trouble seeing and hitting the 10" targets at 1200 yds. I recently bought the SWFA 5-20 HD. Not so much...
