Navy Mk12 RECCE with AEM3 anyone have one?
Intermediate gas tube is a no-go. I picked up a White Oak tube and it’d have the gas block out from under the handguard a bit, so the collar would be well forward. Going to run a mid length tube.- FatBoy

24.4gr if either Varget or RL15 are wonderful loads with 77s. A touch slow at maybe 2650-2675, but very accurate and consistent. I like 7 1/2 BRs and 450Ms. (Or old Russian magnums if you can spare them) You can play with a taper crimp and primers to really tune it in, it I’m not good enough to...- FatBoy

Navy Mk12 RECCE with AEM3 anyone have one?
Yeah, i think it would be handier and quiet enough with the AEM3 but it would require the barrel to be like 14.6”, and I have 2 x 14.5s now. Really 15.1 doesn’t make sense, but the shit just looks cool :)- FatBoy

Navy Mk12 RECCE with AEM3 anyone have one?
So I have been doing some research and realized there is no point in doing a 15.1” w/ the KAC FF RAS and an AEM3. The mount length for the AEM3 is 2.05” , which is fine but if I want it to mount up close to get the RECCE profile this makes the barrel 14.5” and I really don’t need 3 x 14.5s...- FatBoy

Was thinking of DMR type holds and setting up a card before hand , but if shots are inside 600 I get where you’re coming from. I certainly wouldn’t run one during the event. We generally shoot at 400-800 AMSL. Going to 3000+ would have me nervous unless there was a zero day beforehand. Now...- FatBoy

I want to make it out to Texas to shoot one within the next year. I’ve watched several of the events out there and they look awesome. Much more opportunity for a SPR/DMR type event it seems . Glock mags stay in fine in both the Esstacs and the G code. The 2011 mags narrow way down to the feed lips so a much longer section of the body is tapered. I assume that’s the main contributor. That’s said, lots of guys run them so maybe it’s just me being paranoid.- FatBoy

I have the tall (I think) G code single pistol pouches. Even pulled tight the 20 round Prodigy mags would shake out. (Think slack lining while pulling a pack across a creek).
