    I do really like it, I may look for something super light in the future and move this to more of a range rifle just due to weight though. I'm taking it to Colorado at the end of November for a last season mule deer hunt, so we will really see how it holds up to some hiking.

    Yes, I used high heat paint for the barrel and the can, It's an easy way to keep a can looking new even its seen some heat.

    Thats an odd one, the Hornady Black ELD-M is the standard for sure in the grendel. I have rarely seen a barrel that doesn't shoot that load extremely well.

    Uh...ya, practice fundamental gun safety and it’s a non issue. Been shooting mine this whole time. So ya, sending it back for a week is a not a big deal.

    Read up on the sig thread, sounds like they are manufacturing replacement parts now. I have the 6.5 and love it, if you’re interested in one, I would simply wait a month or two and they should be back out. It’s a fun rifle, my opinion is wait for it.

    Athlon Helos gen2 2-12x42

    This thing is appealing for my next AR build. I'm torn between it and the Primary Arms SLx 3-18x50mm. Looking forward to some hands on reviews of the Athlon for sure.
