Gecko 2 vs waxed canvas Gamechanger?

What stage have you shot that you think the non slip would actually give you an advantage? Only one I can think of is one where we shot off the lower leg of a tank trap with no bipods allowed. Might have helped keep the bag from slipping down. My Comanche at the time worked fine by gripping the...

You’re killing me with the way you’re running that bolt!

Gecko 2 vs waxed canvas Gamechanger?

Never heard of the gecko 2 before this thread but first look at their website it's a pretty blatant knockoff of the game changer. Funny thing is it seems as though they've got some good ideas with the material they're using and the fill has me intrigued but I just find it lazy that they didn't...

    Rifle Scopes Kahles 525i

Two situations, first shooting a mover makes a huge difference if you dial out the wind. Often times guys will hold centered up on the confirm target, see the impact whether on or off the plate and dial out whatever they see before moving onto the mover. Second situation I used it was in a...

    6.5 creedmoor vs 6.5x47 lapua

I currently shoot 6.5 creedmoor and have no experience with the 6.5x47 but I have noticed a bias against the creedmoor. I’m guessing because it is so popular, people always want to prove they’re different from the herd. My creedmoor has been ridiculously easy to find a load for and I’ve had to...

PRS Talk Gunwerks Monster Steel Challenge Picture Thread

@DetroitRearView Peter will be holding a club series match there next weekend, you probably already know about it but it's a really good intro if you haven't shot matches before.

PRS Talk Gunwerks Monster Steel Challenge Picture Thread

Great pics Frank! It was a learning experience for me all the way around. My first national level match but I loved the format. Super fun course of fire. I was having case head separation issues from what I’d learn was me oversizing my brass but I still shot okay considering. That damn...

What do you think is the problem here...case head seperation

As a follow up to my issue, I got my new caliper in and measured a bunch of fired cases to my sized cases I had leftover. I was bumping my shoulder almost 10 thousandths!! I guess there’s no question to where the case head separations were comng from.

What do you think is the problem here...case head seperation

Oh boy my dumb ass got to deal with this for the first time this weekend. I was shooting the PRS match in Cody while it happened, sucked pretty bad but could have been worse. I had 2 complete case head separations during day 1 so I pulled out the really bad looking cases and luckily didn't have...

New RRS Tripod and Anvil-30 Feedback

One of the main benefits to the Anvil 30 for me is the user interface. Instead of twisting a knob you have the single lever that you manipulate with your support hand. I’ve usd ball heads and leveling bases though never owned either but I am extremely happy with my decision to go with the Anvil...

Manners Composite Stocks Estimated Lead Times

Hell yeah man, no problem! I just got the Badger rail installed up front yesterday so the bipod mounts all the way forward now. I'm shooting a match Saturday so I'll get some better pics then. FYI, this is Jared in Bozeman, thanks again for your help all through the process. And I'll say it...

Montana Field Practical Match on July 21st!

How you doing fellas! We've got a club match going on this Saturday at the LRC range in Three Forks Montana. This will be the same venue as the PRS match that is happening in September so it's a good opportunity to come out and practice your wind skills. The matches are now ran on Practiscore...

Manners Composite Stocks Estimated Lead Times

They typically space them at Badger Bipod Accessory Rail spacing (3.25"). I know because that's what I ordered but I forgot to order the Badger rail. I also had them add a couple more threaded inserts so I can put on an Area419 rail if I feel like it. Two of those threads worked for my Atlas...

    Bolt lift comparison

I don’t think it needs to be such an apples to apples comparison as far as measuring from the same leverage point and whether or not they’re the same degrees of bolt throw. It’s such a subjective topic, I’d like to see a subjective test ha ha ha I’m interested in what my hand feels when I...

Too long to acquire scope picture

This is good advice here. I'd also add as far as the indoor practice goes, simulate some of the stages that you ran at the match. Use whatever items you have around the house that are similar to the barricades/props you shot off, write your dope down, dial you scope, time yourself. It helps...

    Tikka T3 Thread

I got the Lumley bolt handle in today. I’m pretty stoked on the feel of the bolt throw with it. Only issue I had was the mating surface with the bolt was way tighter than the factory bolt handle. It was so tight that I ended up having to sand down the sides to get it into the bolt.

Rifle Scopes Reticle's with Half Mil Hash's vs .2 Mil Hash's

Hahaha that's about twice as long as I've been on this earth! And no reason to take it as a personal attack, I'm just saying you were acting like a dick coming right out with the dweeb comment instead of giving the thoughtful responses you've given in your last two post. Hell I can be a dick...
