    "Newer" is definitely a relative term. I have a scope from 2002? that is marked on top like that.

    I get that. I'm just saying that there are countersunk or recessed screws on the whole thing everywhere. And then there's those two screws that look like wood screw heads. Very out of place to me.

    You'll notice that it is VERY similar to a Norwegian design that used the Krag-Jorgensen action.

    Here is some additional info and pics of a couple that are missing their scopes. You'll notice that the action is the reinforce action that does not have the thumbhole cutout for stripper clip loading. This is the same style of receiver that is used on the Swedish Fm 23/36 rifles.

    What type of reticle does it have? A lot of these were pulled from 1909 snipers and used in armored service. Finding originals that haven't had their reticles replaced is quite a rarity.
