    Remington said it will probably be 4+ weeks. I do think I will have to shoot it, I'm curious to find out if the triangle barrel is accurate. If it turns out to be a tac driver I will probably just keep the damn thing. I sure hope I can get used to the odd barrel shape.

    Guys, Is there a dealer in the Bay Area that has one in stock. I would love to physically handle one before pulling the trigger so to speak? Regarding the DTA LOP - Most stock rifles have a LOP that is 1" to long for me, I didn't see the minimum LOP on the site.

    Update - The website that Remington provided me for status updates wasn't working. I called the 800 number and was advised that they were going to replace the rifle instead of repairing the barrel that was under indexed into the receiver. The order for the new rifle was placed on 4/18.

    afranke - I am using my Sako 75v 300wm, sn3 3.8-22x44 (no muzzle break) to work on my basics at the Chabot 200yd range. I have met some really nice people at Chabot but I need to find a longer range. Would you have a recommendation?
