    WTB Zermatt arms action wrench

You just use a regular 3/8 drive extension like from a ratchet and socket set. No need to buy their full kit. I have used their heads for tikka, ARC, Falkor, Zermatt, and Kelbly. They work great, an action wrench is not a complicated or complex tool so don’t over think it. Here is a picture...

    Favorite Trainer Round

I was running them in a 223 with long throat mag fed. I haven’t worn out a 223 barrel yet so not sure. And I don’t keep track of rounds fired but rough guess is my highest round count 223 has around 4000-5000 rounds through it and I just won a match with it last weekend so still shooting great!

    Favorite Trainer Round

Another thing to consider, you have to shoot a mountain of rounds to even think about breaking even with a trainer. Even buying a used tikka 223, scope, rings, mags, etc to get started with a trainer and then the ammo to feed the trainer, the cost savings would take a long time if ever for...

Is it worth reloading precision ammo on a single stage versus progressive press?

I’m using a Hornady progressive, not a Dillon but can answer how I do it. I clean brass before each round through the press. 1) I clean. 2) Dump a few hundred cases in a plastic shoe box and spray the cases with lanolin/alcohol. 3) Run the lubed brass through the press, de cap, full length...

    What's the Go-To 223 Brass Now?

I have 500 lapua brass from a couple years ago that died after 3-4 firings. Granted I was pushing 88s pretty hard. I switched to starline and haven’t noticed a decrease in accuracy or consistency and the price is right. I only have 1 firing on the starline so far and also fire formed 1000 for...

Precision Rifle Gear Let’s Talk Bipods

I have Harris, atlas cal, ckye, and tbac. My favorite is the TBAC. The legs fold out without having to push any buttons, just like the Harris. The legs extend with the push of a button, like the Harris but the big difference is the legs are under spring pressure the entire travel. So if you...

Rifle Scopes Scope riser on a prs rifle? i have an eye relief problem

I found prone or off a bench my elbow would be bent outward and the short LOP made it hard on my wrist and hand. But when shooting positional I drop my elbow down along my body and do my best to get it to rest on my hip or knee for extra stability. With my elbow down I have zero issues with my...

Is it worth reloading precision ammo on a single stage versus progressive press?

Once you have the dies setup there shouldn’t be any adjustments as long as your using lock rings……. For me in the Hornady lnl press I have the quick change bushings on all my dies with lock rings so no adjustments when changing. Just screw them in and done. I do verify setting by measuring...

Rifle Scopes Scope riser on a prs rifle? i have an eye relief problem

I just measured all my rifles and I’m running 13.5-14” lop at 6’5” Have you tried shortening your length of pull on your new chassis to get the eye relief you need and then trying positions and see how you like it? Shortening lop an inch isn’t going to significantly change the angle of your...

Rifle Scopes Scope riser on a prs rifle? i have an eye relief problem

I’m 6’5”. I used to run longer LOP to be comfortable for prone/bench shooting but have found shorter LOP is much more comfortable for positional shooting. Example, I started with a krg bravo and was running 5-6 spacers I think, I then pulled all the spacers or maybe had 1 and improved positional...
