    16-18 inch shorty rifles

    If no replies, I have seen a very consistent 25-30 fps per inch off of 24" lengths. The 18" rigs simply get carried and used more for me when suppressed. Have a 23" suppressed 6.5-284 which ends up at 29". I found it unwieldy in cover and have since capped it and will shoot it unsuppressed.

    18" Rem 700 30-06, 155 Scenar, around 2800 fps at an accuracy node, bull elk at 400 yards shot by my daughter. The lopped off barrel was very close in weight to the suppressor. Highly recommend.

    I never was a Tikka fan and just bought a Nucleus that is in route. That said, I also have to buy bottom metal, trigger, and magazines. I think the gap is way bigger than $200.     Interesting point re barrel channel. I started ordering stocks with 2 to 3 larger barrel channels than I planned on. I prefer the larger float and see zero downside to additional space.

    I had a TT Special stop resetting after about 30 rounds. Have a TT Primary that seems good. I'll be looking at a Timney for my next one.

    So if that is what they are most likely going to say, I'd trip it and move on. Or bang your head, raise your blood pressure, and then sell it and move on. Either way doesn't seem like Larue was real good about this. I just cut my losses earlier these days.
