    What kind of real world accuracy can I expect from a 300BLK in an AR?? Not interested in the group the you shot in a "Bug Hole" but what you get for accuracy day in an day out. Like an average of 5 5 shot groups at 100 and 200 yds maybe even 300. Thanks Guys!!!

    I try to get my rifles an loads to group at 1.5"s or under for 5 shots at 300yds. I had read somewhere that if your capable of that with your gun you should be competitive at 1000yds.

    338 lapua to a mile. dope?

    I have a 284 shooting 162AMAXs and a 4.5x14 Leupold MK4 with a 20MOA base and I am on with 65 to 66MOA. A friend who was also shooting at the target had a 338 Lapua shooting 300gr Bergers and our data was nearly the same from 1500 on out. Not sure what is load was.

    Yes, I am about .020 to long on my load with the 139 Lapua's. SporterII did you "Bow" the front of the mag with the spacer still in the mag?? If so how did you do it?? Does the mag still fit the opening without binding?? Thanks Guys!!

    I would like to take the front spacer out of my AI mags. I notice that there are two spot welds on the front of the mag which I assume is how the spacer is attached. Can I drill that out to remove the spacer??If so do the holes need to be filled in for any reason?? Thanks guys!!

    Try doing your load development at 300yds. That's what I do for my long range shooting. I have done my preliminary testing at 100yds but then go to 300yds. I try to find a load that will print around 1.5" @ 300yds. If I get that it will shoot great on out. Not sure if you shot more than one...

    build or buy 338 Lapua ?

    If your just banging steel or punching paper why not go with a 300WM or even a 284. I have shot my 284 out to a mile and its damn accurate. Easy on barrels and a lot cheaper to shoot. The big magnums are not all that much fun to shoot. You get a lot of blast and then they are expensive to feed.
