    Spare Parts for SHTF

I started accumulating spare LPKs, BCGs etc then just started building spare rifles instead. I can either scalp them for parts or if one goes down, pick up a different one and use the original for parts If you shoot suppressed, extra gas tubes are a good idea

Suppressors Dielectric Grease ... (Best Advice EVER)

When I got my first pistol and .22 cans waaaay back in the day from Innovative arms (I’m semi local to them in SC) the owner suggested Dielectric grease to me for the piston/spring and threads. I took it a step further and lightly coated the outside of the baffles/inside of the tubes and have...

224 Valkyrie ..? what is your opinion ?

I’ve had good luck with accuracy and match shooting with mine but I’ve thought about selling it off for something else. What, I don’t know. I’ve got about a thousand pieces of unfired brass and another 300 or so 1-2x fired, along with a healthy supply of 80gr ELDs and 90gr SMKs with my loads...

    Rifle Scopes Optics Planet SUCKS

no. I ordered an IN STOCK RCBS decapping assembly and got a “your order has shipped” email on 7/2/20. The tracking number they gave me was garbage. Never worked, not recognized by any carrier. Est delivery was 7/9 (came and went) and no change on tracking. They’ve disabled phones, live chats...

    .308win powder choices

Where I live in S.C., we don’t get extremely cold temps and I am rarely in them if we do. RE15 is my predominant favorite due to availability but accuracy and speed wise, nothing has come close to 2000MR with 168gr BTHP. This is with a 16.5” and 20” R700

Rifleman’s Team Challenge Looking for partner - Snipers Unknown Challenge and the Guardian both in SC

good luck! I shoot the Cheytac USA / TRM series and I can’t make SUC this year. Next year I’m all for it. Hope it works out and you have a great time

    .224 Valkyrie

A guy you may have heard of named Brian Litz explains the physics of the concept in a book he wrote. I’m not the end all-be all expert on this subject, simply passing along what I’ve read in regards to an aspect of bullet flight: length-width-rpm. When shooting a 224 Valkyrie, the 90gr SMK...

    .224 Valkyrie

To be fair, you’d probably see better results at 100yds especially with the heavier/longer bullets. They really need to “stretch their legs” a little...50yds they’re just getting going. I do load confirmation at 100yds and shoot my top three at 300yds to see what happens I load my 80gr ELDs...

    .224 Valkyrie

I had issues with the first iteration of the FGMM 90SMKs grouping around 1.25 MOA The newer stuff hovers just under MOA but much Handloads are much much better than both

    .224 Valkyrie

Ive been using a 20” Rainier Ultramatch Mod 2 224 Valkyrie barrel in competition this year after putting over a thousand rounds through it while testing loads My primary load is the “red rocket” 80gr ELD with 24.8gr of H4895 and CCI BR4. I tested up to 25.2gr in the same node but accuracy...

Prs rifle and tripod setup photos

Mine is pretty basic, as I’m just getting into tripods: Walsh Custom Defense just came out with a new tripod/pack attachment. I don’t work for or have any affiliation with WCD. Just know the guy from some matches in the area...

Recommendation for a 20” barrel for a precision build?

20” stainless Proof Barrel, 1:7 twist, 223 Wylde barrel officially ordered. Thanks for all the input and conversation from everyone

224 Valkyrie ..? what is your opinion ?

Mines doing just fine. Haven’t had the opportunity to shoot to 1000 as my home range is only 800yds but putting in the work to dial in a load based on the bullet(s) I wanted to use...it’s great.

Recommendation for a 20” barrel for a precision build?

And simultaneously keeping the rifle even remotely balanced in terms of weight distribution Running a F1 skeletonized AR isn’t in the cards

Recommendation for a 20” barrel for a precision build?

My 20” 224 Valkyrie barrel is the same weight as the Proof and I’ve been hanging a 15oz can off of the thing :ROFLMAO: and I managed just fine with that. I’ve really got tunnel vision with this project A 20” SS Proof with my Optimus Micro would be a lighter weight combo. I think it’ll work...

Recommendation for a 20” barrel for a precision build?

I can’t swing the $ for the CF wrapped one. It’s almost twice what I had sort of set as my “budget”. My only issue with the Stainless Proof barrel is that it’s roughly a full pound heavier than the Criterion/RA/etc options. The type of precision matches I shoot in aren’t from static...

Recommendation for a 20” barrel for a precision build?

I had an account; thanks for mentioning it. $364 for the 20” Stainless Proof Barrel. Sounds like the way to go
