I believe they were just using the time of the last shot. That's a good question though because normally I'd argue that if a shooter times out on a stage they should be charged with the full time of the stage since they actually used the full time, not simply awarded the time of their last shot...

Thanks for the videos, it's a great way to see what you're doing right and what you're doing wrong.

Good shooting everybody. The fog definitely was a bummer, nonetheless I had a great time. Thanks to the MD and ROs. See you all in 2 weeks!

    Rock solid chassis!!!!!!

I got my stock on Friday and tossed my setup into it and hit the range over the weekend to check for any zero shift. I didn't do a whole lot of shooting but it shot great and I love how the stock feels. I've got a match coming up this weekend.

    5 round 308 Pmag?

I talked to Ty recently and he got a final batch of the soon-to-be-discontinued version of the 20LR mags and he's still got some cut down ones available. MidwestPX.com I've used his modified 20LR mags on and off for a couple of years now (as I bounce back and forth between bolt guns and gas...

Rifle Scopes Scope mount for AR15 with S&B 3-12

I like the canted riser + ring arrangement too. I used a PRI 20MOA cantilever riser with Seekins rings to mount my 4-16 S&B on a 6XC AR10 and it worked great. With the riser+rings setup you can control your height by selecting your rings and you have more options on fore/aft positioning since...

Sidearms & Scatterguns Glock grip reduction

This is how I did it. I got the backstrap of my G17 pretty straight with the heat/roll/heat/roll method. I was also careful not to heat the area where the mag goes. Once I got the general shape I wanted I used a microplane to remove the finger bumps and texturing on the front strap, and I took...

Regarding the PRS, what actual benefit would the UNSC matches see from a PRS affiliation? Also, what autonomy would be lost due to such an affiliation? In other words, what would the guys who run the matches have to give up or change, and how would the PRS benefit their efforts? I like the way...

For you guys/gals that shoot the Hornady 105 HPBTs.

The .530 G1 number works well. I've shot them out past 1100 and .530 keeps me on the steel.

I'll second JD. He's easy to communicate with and he does awesome work.

Unknown, I hate to, but I'm going to have to give my spot up this month. I've been working on something all week at work and it doesn't look like I'll be done before tomorrow.

I'll spot if someone has a spotting scope.

    Range Report G1 v G7 - why such a large variance

Are you using the same BC value when you switch between G1 and G7? That would account for the data you're getting out. A bullet like you're using with a ~.415 G1 BC will not give you valid numbers if you just tell the program to use a G7 profile and keep the G1 number in there. You need to find...

Welcome Warhammer. Definitely check out the UNSC match, it's friendly and low-key and a great chance to practice everything. Also, a number of us meet up from time to time outside of Acme to shoot steel. If you're in Lynden it wouldn't be far at all to come.

You must not have been in our group then. As far as I remember the group I was in had: Me, Ian, my dad, Matt, Reed, Joe M, another older guy, and maybe Nick was in our group too.

Federal small rifle primer slam fires

The only time I've ever personally seen a slamfire was in an AR10 platform with factory Hornady 6.5 Creedmoor ammo. I believe that specific primer cup must have been manufactured with a defect because not only did it slam fire but it also pierced the primer.
