New Contest Starting Now! This Target Haunts Me
Tell us about the one that got away, the flier that ruined your group, the zero that drifted, the shot you still see when you close your eyes. Winner will receive a free scope!
I will probably move the scale to another bench eventually but I have had zero issues using it this way.
I use the LNL for depriming only and haven't used the powder drop since I got the scale. If you need more space maybe try removing it first.
Yes! Get the mount. It is well worth it.
And I actually have both on the same bench. My bench is sturdy as hell though and I put a piece of granite under the scale.
What's the budget? If you want budget friendly look into a KRG bravo chassis. They are hard to beat for the money. You might also want to junk the trigger. Look at the Timney 110 for a budget option. Scopes again if you are budget minded maybe a nightforfe SHV?
I have been wanting to stop by Mile High for a couple of years now. Problem is I live in south Texas. Well I finally made it this week. The whole family went on vacation to CO and we made a detour and stopped in.
Mike was at the counter and was very nice to talk to. His Frank impressions where...
I have never personally fired the LCR in 22. Just figured it might be a good option for someone that is recoil sensitive.
My EDC revolver of choice is a smith 642. With my handloads I am pushing the 135 gold dot SB at 1000 fps. This load is not for the faint of heart though and I would never...
Take her to a gun range that rents guns and let her try a few. That will tell you what she will shoot the best. Rent several and let her shot them all. Don't try to convince her of what YOU think would be the best option. And it doesn't have to be a 9mm. a 32 or 380 in the boiler room is a hell...
Funny you say that. I have had horrible luck with 168 Berger hunters in my 7mm mag. Zero exit wounds when shot up close and personal. I shot a buck at 60 yards no exit wound. Same thing on a doe at 178. Both where dead but the bullet did not exit and zero blood trail on either. No when I shot...
I think you will get mixed results from users on every bullet in the world. MOST of the time when a hunter says the bullet didn't perform it was due to poor shot placement. Most hunters won't admit that. I have had excellent results with the ELDX. I have also had great results with the Barnes...
I worked all the way up to 43.8 grains with zero pressure signs on a 90 degree day. Velocity was 2862 over a 10 shot group on my magnetospeed at 43.3 grains.
I also backed off to 42.9 just to see if it maid any difference. Same thing. About 1 out of every 10 would pierce. Velocity was about...
Yep!!! That's why I started this thread. If I would have known this could have been an issue I would have just stuck with LRP. Alpha had both in stock at the time by the way. I even called and had a conversation with Alpha to discuss pros and cons before ordering. The possible issue was never...
My tikka pre-fit will do an easy .5 MOA 10 shot group if i do my part. It's a 26 inch Criterion. It might do better if a better shooter was behind the gun. It hammers.
I have a CAL and I have a Harris. They are both quality bypods but the Harris stays in the safe and the CAL lives on my rifle. I like the wider stance and get better stability from the CAL. The only advantage of the Harris is that it deploys faster. I have had zero issues deploying the CAL. You...
