Rifle Scopes SHOT - Did anyone bust Bushnell's balls over Butler Creek Caps?

I'm aware of Butler Creek covers breaking all the time but am I missing something about Bushnell owning Butler Creek or something?

Suppressors Any info about thunderbeast at shot show?

I went through the same thing. Read rumors about Thunder Beast and a stainless 30 caliber can they were calling the 30HD and wanted this and later a 30BA or 30BAS to use the same mount but wasn't getting much word on a time frame and kept reading such good Specwar 762 reviews that I got...

Rifle Scopes Scope interest free Financing!

I wouldn't make a habit of it but it's a fine deal as long as you pay it off. If you don't pay it off in time they will charge you interest accumulated from the purchase date and not just the end of interest free period so you will end up paying quite a bit extra.

Most I know that have the money to buy whatever and use customs instead just don't like the weight or ergonomics of the Accuracy International Chassis.

Rifle Scopes $1000 for a scope

It's because 8x is barely larger than that the 5x min on a 5-20 or 5-25 scope. 8/5 is 1.6 so 8x is 1.6 times the 5x min that the reticle must size down to. On a 2.5-10 a magnification of 4x provides the same factor of 1.6 increase from the minimum magnification.

Rifle Scopes $1000 for a scope

Range of magnification relative to reticle size should depend more on a multiplication factor rather than subtraction... So 3-15 is 5x magnification range, 4-16 is 4x, and 3.5-21 is 6x. This might seem like it doesn't make a difference but it especially does when comparing optics with different...

Rifle Scopes Scope Base Keeps Loosening, Please Help

Make sure the screws are making solid contact with the base when mounting. Have seen a newer model Savage with mounting holes not drilled deep enough.

Rifle Scopes In need of some help deciding on a scope.

I have fixed 10 and 3-15 SS and the low end magnification is the big advantage of the 3-15 to me. 10x is a little much for many applications and makes the scope a lot less versatile. I would probably buy the fixed 6x if I were to do it again unless it were to be used on a rifle dedicated to...

Rifle Scopes I have decided on the Vortex Viper PST 2.5-10x32 FFP. - Now which reticle?

http://www.snipershide.com/shooting/showthread.php?p=2890607 This question always brings a heated debate and doesn't need discussed again after the last thread just simmered down. Both are good, if you have friends in your area into long range shooting I would get what they shoot so they can...

Rifle Scopes Please help me settle on a scope for my 300blk.

There might only be a FFP version of the 32. 32 is the one I have used that was FFP so was guessing they made a 42 FFP as well but maybe not.

Rifle Scopes Please help me settle on a scope for my 300blk.

Check out the 2.5-10x32 or 42 PST in FFP configuration. I normally wouldn't think much of needing FFP on low magnification but at night you are often shooting from in a dark area where you can't see your turrets to dial for a shot and can't see your magnification setting to know what...

Rifle Scopes Please help me settle on a scope for my 300blk.

We've compared an NXS 24 and 42 objective at my house at night looking into low light area trying to pick out objects... The 24 seems to lose its brightness after 3x or so where the 42 can seem to get to 5x or more before it becomes noticeable to the point of the 24. With all that said I would...

First 4 shot group with new barrel on 6.5 creedmoor

I've been messing with Remington and considering having one trued and new barrel fitted or going with a custom but seeing so many untouched Savage actions with DIY home barrel swaps shoot so well sure is tempting.

Official First Look at the Accuracy International, AX308MC

The one scope for everything is a big cost savings and selling point to me. Scoping different rifles seriously adds to their cost.
