556 dimensions are slightly larger than 223 and this is why you shouldn't shoot 556 in a 223 chamber but can shoot the smaller 223 through a 556 chamber... 223 Wylde is opened up enough to handle 556 but is closer dimensionally to a 223 so has a closer 223 dimension than 556 and providing better...
If the can really fills up from 22 it would seem fine but when switching to a round near the diameter of the opening couldn't that cause the bullet to impact the buildup and cause a problem such as a baffle strike? Please correct me if wrong because I'm not very knowledgeable about suppressors...
Seen so many good things on Ops Inc and now Allen Engineering that I really wish they were included in some tests like this. Silencershop doesn't sell them though so I would say it is unlikely they would be testing and potentially promoting them if the results are favorable.
Good quality match rounds will last you longer because of their predictable trajectory at longer ranges. Definitely less misses shooting at distance with good quality ammunition.
You'll have to deal with another long wait but if you have kids getting into shooting I would just get a dedicated 22 can. I'm sure your kids will love suppressed rimfire and it will make the wait well worth it.
I'm glad you revived this thread because I'm waiting on a Spectre 2 now and wasn't aware of this. I also was going to go with a 22/45 lite first but now know to look into what I'm planning on getting for a host first but this has me curious. Where can I get one of the adapters people are talking...
Thanks for your help to me as well everyone. I've also decided to go with 30BA. Even if I get into shooting higher rates of fire semi auto I will always want a Thunder Beast on my bolt rifles.
