Geissele Cut Rifled SPR Build and Barrel Evaluation. (Part 4 (Load Development 28MAY25) Update!!!

Reality is that I do not expect a 55 gr to group like a 69-77gr. If I am shooting 55s it is in blaster mode and if I can hit a 3”-4” plate out to 100yrd then it is plenty accurate. It I want accuracy I shoot longer bullets. That us why I tend to use 7 twist although I do have two 8 twist barrels...

Do I need a 700 in my arsenal.

This. I currently have 3. One is my first BR gun worked over and tuned by master br smith Speedy Gonzales. Second is my TacOps worked over by Master Smith Mike. And Factory stock 308 piece of crap that sits in the back of my safe as it won’t shoot a 5” group at 100yrds. Just saying they can be...

Geissele Cut Rifled SPR Build and Barrel Evaluation. (Part 4 (Load Development 28MAY25) Update!!!

Just not sure what all of you have against the 7 twist. They have always worked fine for me. From 77 SMKs at 2700 to 69 TMKs at 3000 to 85.5 Bergers at 3400 a 22cal through a 7 twist has been a winner.

I am just watching the lunacy and hoping I get my name called while I can still use it. I have total confidence in Paul.

How to remove weight from a foundation Samson

So I ended up getting a foundation Samson for my Terminus Zues QC. It came with the brass weight/rail. Way too heavy, switched to Aluminum and removed ALL Brass I could find. Still to heavy. I like the stick but it is too heavy still. I could try to sell it ( with both sets of weights) or find a...

    Customer Accuracy Expectations

I totally agree. My most consistent average at 100 is .70, I know some that would beat that but our club champ can get to .64 regularly in his 1 piece rest.

Do I need a 700 in my arsenal.

Mike uses factory receivers because he trusts them and knows how to make them Great. He totally overhauls them. Money is not a factor in his decision.

Help with new rifle $3k budget.

Yeah I would not be impressed with what you described. But I have never seen a temp sticker on a barrel! Pretty sure I would not bother, kind of like using a pop up temp thingy on a turkey, not accurate and general waste of time.

Do I need a 700 in my arsenal.

Yeah I know but they sell a ton of them. But cool, Origen action and check out Bugholes, TS Custom, PVA or one of the fine supporters here, pick your barrel and get what you want fairly quick.

Do I need a 700 in my arsenal.

Everyone needs to have at least one, or have had one. I am sure there are faster ways to go mad, but probably not much ( I only have 2 🤣)

Do I need a 700 in my arsenal.

If you have the itch, it will most likely get scratched. You want an honest REM 700 or custom clone? Idea of what caliber you need to punish what ever needs killing?

    Prefit for impact 737?

This or one from bug holes are my favorite choices. Great barrels and great service.

Seeking Low Back Pressure .30cal Can (so many choices)

I have the Velos LBP and it is a great high flow can. I don’t use mine vey often as I prefer the CAT ODB but the Velos is much better than a Hux Ventum. I also use the ASR on my ARs and they work really well.

    10/22 Scope Questions

Yeah, correct, just reacted to the idea of rimfire specific scope, which I obviously dislike. The second post was a bit more on point. The LVPO idea can cover a lot of the needs. But I really do love the Holosun on my carbon 10/22. No need for parallax, really fast and minute of squirrel.
