I've encountered this bolt bump problem a number of times and it's only happened when I did something that would get me a DQ in a match. Since I can't have 2 muscle memories that contradict each other I just altered how I do wet work. Instead of having the bolt closed before I'm on a target, I...

    Nutrition in the Field

The lists below are only valid while away from camp, let's get that straight. In camp we eat mostly fresh meat but I like to bring along stuff like instant pasta/sauce stuff, ingredients for cole slaw and fresh fruits and if possible some Pilsbury-ish cinnamon rolls or other desert. In Africa...

What hunting boots do you use?

5.11 EVO 8 size zip, or Vans Authentic lowtop lace-up. Mostly I hunt in Vans Authentics because they're comfortable and light weight and I don't need to play tactical barbie dress up to kill something. The 5.11's come out when I'm planning on walking through acacia thorns since Vans provide the...

These two cheaters were lucky to get out of there alive…

Is anyone else still fired the fuck up about this? Every time I think about it all I can come to as a conclusion is that this should have been fucking obvious in years passed and there is no excuse for these fuckwits to have been caught earlier. My "someone's colluding with someone" light keeps...

No, that's the problem, not the solution. But thanks for playing!

Imagine if you eliminated the front 2nd row of locking lugs from a DT bolt head so you just have a 3-lug head. That's what the .223 bolt looks like. Same basic lug pattern not as many lugs and it doesn't fit into any other extension that I have so there's no mistaking that you've got the wrong...

    Sovereign Citizen Nonsense

Send him to Durban, South Africa. They'll cut him into little tiny pieces for being too white. It'd be funny as shit to watch.

If youre going to San Francisco be sure to wear a _________

The second DFG starts issuing tags, I'm all in like Flynn. Remember, they mostly come out at any time of day. Mostly.

Texas turned into South Africa so subtly I didn't even notice. Same problem. Same cause. Same solution.

Stolen valor experience…to save someone else under $100..

6 but, I cycle them through after a few years so I don't run out of space. They're much easier to load in the trash can after they've had a few years to age. Why lug unnecessary meat to the dump when it'll leave of its own accord in due time?

    Anyone cook on a griddle?

Hardly. I'm just not a fool. One flat metal pieces cooks meat the same as another flat metal piece. Thicker metal helps retain heat when working with shit that's too thick to be doing on a griddle anyway. All the cast iron or nothing chest puffing asshattery in this thread is just that. Chest...

First Long range setup - looking for advice

A decent rifle designed to be multi-cal switch barrel and that's going to be accurate, repeatably accurate and all that jazz is going to cost about $15k-20k all in with the scope, mount, extra barrels and bolts, mags and other crap. One option is an AI ASR. Another is AI AXMC. Another is Desert...

    Anyone cook on a griddle?

I've cooked using an upturned 55gal drum as a griddle. Works just fine. Made the best tacos I've ever made that way. Flat and metal is all that's really important. Clean helps too. As you fancy things up the more you gotta do for maintenance.

    Yet another 223 load question...

With a 26" barrel I've been able to get 2950fps with 75gr hornady BTHP without blanking primers but it's a single feed proposition for anything that takes AR mags or similar super limited length mags. Bigger bullets vs. BC vs. FPS is a balancing act. The biggest bullet is not always the best...

New Year, New Rules, maybe ...

Sandbagging is easy enough to discourage, you label it cheating and let the RO's and MD's take care of it. If they feel you belong in a higher level class then they can put you in the 1 level higher of a class than you've so far qualified for. You could also use the prize table to discourage it...

    Yet another 223 load question...

If you just come off the lands by .010 your pressure signs might just go away. Jamming is a great way to increase peak chamber pressures.

    Yet another 223 load question...

Primers are all cratered and from what I can see, they're trying to blank the primer on every single one. Your load is definitely too hot. Do you have the option of extending your COAL a bit? That'll help pressures to come down a bit. If you can't go longer COAL then drop a half grain or so and...

Rifle Scopes your opinions on mid tier optics like XTR3 vs XRS3/DMR3 vs Cronus Gen2

Avoid the Mk4, otherwise any of those are fine... even the Cronus. I've either owned, currently own or used extensively all of the optics you have listed. DMR/SRS/XTR3 deliver a shitload of value. If you can find a Razor 2 for that money, I'd jump on that too.
