NEW From Zermatt Arms - RimX Actions

It's funny, as others have stated, that's one of reasons I went with a RimX, basically zero waiting. Found an in stock action, got a barrel from Manzella in like 3 weeks, torqued the barrel on and the thing shoots! Zermatt makes a sweet action. Edit: just for reference mine is early 29xx serial...

    .22 Ammo storage for matches

Second the Hoz & Shield, really nice to be able to pop out 10rds to load a mag

HENRY LASR (Lever Action Supreme Rifle) in 5.56/.300BK now available.

I'm hoping they release a mare's leg version that you could SBR! Edit: I'm an idiot. In thinking about it, with the mag fed design not tube fed, you could easily just SBR it and chop the barrel.

    Aero precision shipping times

I just received a shipping notification from FedEx for a contract overrun 6.5 barrel that I ordered Dec 3rd. Still never got any emails from Aero. Hopefully they can get their Customer Service sorted out sooner or later.

Is there a gray area between a SBR & a Pistol or is the definition cut & dried?

Check your state regulations. Everything already discussed aside, Colorado for example says no "stocks or attachments" on handguns in the big game regs. An AR pistol is fine provided it's a bare buffer tube. At least that's how I interpret it.

    Aero precision shipping times

Y'all got a order confirmation? 😂 They just took my money and never sent me a confirmation for a overrun barrel. I'll give it some time, it's only been 2 weeks.

    Why do you like rimfire?

It's accessible. Sure it's bit of a gateway drug, I started with a T1x with a Diamondback Tactical, now I have a RimX with a Mk4HD. But I've taken one nephew, and several friends, to rimfire matches. I let them use my guns and ammo, and they can experience real rifle competition. None would have...

    Custom Action - tikka footprint

The Ultimatum Defacto was a Tikka footprint. That was a bit of a disaster, not the action just the company/owners at the time. I have one in 223, I enjoy the rifle, but it doesn't do anything better than any other action, or better than a Tikka for that matter.

Sidearms & Scatterguns O/U for sporting clays

I'm not a big fan of Mossberg's. They are simply not going to last with large volumes of shooting or they would cost a lot more. That being said, if that fits your budget, and fits you relatively well, have fun and put some shells through it. If you get really serious about the sport you will...

Sidearms & Scatterguns O/U for sporting clays

Awesome! It's a great sport and one I have enjoyed for over twenty years. If a Rizzini ends up being what catches your eye and fits you, buy with confidence. They make a solid gun and make a lot of actions for other Italian gun makers. TGS outdoors is another fantastic shotgun YouTube channel...

Sidearms & Scatterguns O/U for sporting clays

Please don't think you need to buy a crazy expensive gun. For 2k you can get an awesome Browning or Beretta and enjoy the heck out of it! The Rizzini BR110 Sporter is another great option, probably a hair more than 2k new, probably around that price used. I have one in 410 that is a ton of fun...

Sidearms & Scatterguns O/U for sporting clays

Yep, nothing wrong with a good used O/U. In fact I bought my K-80 used from DuPONT/Kriegoff. Saved me quite a bit of money and it'll far outlast me. When looking at used guns pay attention to the stiffness of the action and the top lever. If the action still has some stiffness and the top lever...

Sidearms & Scatterguns O/U for sporting clays

For that price point I think one of the Browning CX models are a very good value. I also highly recommend you get some type of target model with an adjustable comb. It's tempting to buy a field model but the features that come with a sporting model is worth the added cost. I've been very lucky...

    Rifle Scopes Leupold Mark 4HD

After reading CK1.0's experience I decided to send my optic in and give Leupold a chance to fix the turret. I got it back today, just shy of two weeks, they did fix the elevation turret, lines up perfectly now. They did not fix the windage turret. Overall I'd say I'm satisfied and I'm glad...

    Rifle Scopes Leupold Mark 4HD

Yep, like you this is my first Leupold. I have quite a few XTRs, a couple Razors, and one Arken. Everytime I looked at Leupold, they were always lacking compared to similar optics. I get that you have to make some kind of concession for almost any optic in this price point. If it has everything...

    Rifle Scopes Leupold Mark 4HD

Quick update on my optic for those interested. I contacted Leupold, automated contact form. The next day (8/28) I was contacted and the representative asked for a photo. I sent the same photo I posted here. I didn't hear back for a couple days, on 8/3, I emailed asking if there was an update...
