Cleaning house. One bolt action (caliber) for the man that probably doesn't need a bolt action.

155 gr .30 or 140 gr .264 at roughly the same speed and then there is the wheight of the gun. Recoil difference barely matters. Wind drift is higher and so is drop with a 308, but not less consistent. Dial more. At 400 yds, what is that .4 mil? .2? The numbers game is fun, but real world...

    Sauer 200STR Nomad edition.

Yes, the STR is discussed in several threads here. As is the Vision chassis. And the SSG 3000. The barrels I presume is 6.5x55 Scan and 308 Win not 6.5x55 Swe and 308 Winchester Magnum? Nice build. One awesome rifle.

    Sako 75 re-barrel?

Not difficult at all if the gunsmith is competent. There is no real difference in a Sako compared to the average threaded action. It usually is quite hard to remove the barrel from the action, but after that there is no difference. It would be preferable to get a IV, since action and length...

    Anyone shooting 260Rem in 2022?

No worries. I didn't get the reference so I replied accordingly. No, the scope shots are with a Sauer SSG 3000 and a Sako AV hunting rifle. I've only ever shot Norma's factory loads (Diamond Line) in my m96. I only use it for 300 m competitions. So I'm of no help there. Sorry.

    Anyone shooting 260Rem in 2022?

Iron sights, peep sights (Palma style) and a couple of HQ European scopes. Never with a red dot though...

    Anyone shooting 260Rem in 2022?

No, 6.5×55 still has no contender... 😉

What the hell, British Upper Crust Folks? Overkill much??

"With FANGS!!" (stabbing motion with hands and eyes wide open): Or "grendlers" if you want.

    Tikkas are better than....

IIRC it's the other way around. It's all about how you regard ownership. The holding company that owns Sauer (J.P. Sauer & Sohn, Sauer, Sig-Sauer and Sig) also owns the Blaser and Mauser brands. Sauer is the oldest and was aquired first.

...almost anything except a Sako TRG... 😉

    Obsession/disorder?

Yes. IIRC I've seen 14+ years... Can't provide a link though. 10+ is not uncommon. Here's a list (first three is 10+): https://www.snipershide.com/shooting/threadloom/search?search_type=post&keywords=Necropost&c[nodes][0]=39&c[child_nodes]=1&tab=0

    Sako TRG Accessory Availability

I've seen an ITRS or two for sale. Never an MMRS. Other than, for example, a Pau-Tac chassis I consider your chances slim reaching your goal. I do wish you luck in your search though.

    Sako TRG A1 Experiences

Sadly I can only comment on availability of the A1 chassis which probably as expensive to buy separately as buying a comple rifle and i would say that chances are small. A W3 is probably the most bang for bucks option.

    SAKO TRG-22

In 308, 16" would be a light compact shorty. In any other factory caliber a waste of speed.

    Sako TRG 21/22 questions

Kind of OT, but the TRG is still sold today... The 21 and 41 stock design is a bit different and there were some changes made in -13, but on the whole it's the same rifle. IIRC the sling is available from Sako/Beretta and the Sako scope rail is excellent if you are using Optilock (with...

Fool for Selling Sako TRG in 6.5 CM for TRG in .338 LM?

Yes, no and yes. Save up for another rifle. Selling your one rifle for something that isn't as usable is not the best thing to do...

Thinking of going off the deep end (again, lol)

You can't fault me for what I didn't know. 😁 But what @stello1001 said then. If the 6.5-06 doesn't work out, you're just a barrel swap away from something else 06-based. (Or a shorter barrelled 9.3x62?)😉

280AI. A bit more recoil but IMHO a better round on all accounts.

    Sako TRG 22 Optic Rail

Good. Mine did not come with an attached rail, a bit older (5 yrs) and different markets I suppose. I bought a Warne picatinny with no cant and depending on what scope I use this comes on or off. For the two scopes I use for this rifle they are both mounted in Spuhr mounts with cant.
