    Kinetic Research Group SOTIC?

    A TRG, a W3 and you're there.

    Sako TRG Accessory Availability

The reason for not being able to upgrade to a A1 chassis is availability, if I'm correctly informed. The numbers are simply that there is not enough demand for a chassis at about $3500-5000. (I've asked Sako as directly as possible). A KRG W3 or a SICS would be a better option at the moment...

TRG appreciation thread - Part III

Congrats! Buying all available spare parts seems a bit excessive. The A1 models are the same old action in a chassis, so parts should be available for a long time. I haven't heard of many firing pins breaking, but do as you wish. Buy a "bolt stop kit", an "extractor spring kit" and you're set.

Yeah, 'cause all real shooters know that 100 yds/m is too far to judge 22lr accuracy due to wind and ammo inconsistency.

IMHO N140 or N150 doesn't matter much. I've got a hotter load for 175 gr bullets with N140 for targets beyond 1k (m).

My guess is as you get to know and more used to it the group size will decrease. Being hammer forged the barrel wont need a break in, but a bit of fouling wont hurt. (I suppose you know this already...) I got a load with 175 gr Scenar-L/SMK that is a bit slow but precise. @VargmatII uses this...

Had some trouble with a new mag where there were grades causing scratches along the case when feeding. Some filing and a bit of sanding took care of that. Then again I like to modify and tinker (and am able to do so without making a mess of things most of the time). Unfortunately, as i see it...

As expected I would say... 😉😁👍 Did you chrono?

Yep. Sorry. My bad. Almost never use MOA other than group sizes at 100 m... I assumed that @epeet Was shooting his group at 50 m. Since that's my normal 22lr target distance... And I've also been consuming to many YT vids where they measure group sizes in inches... Sometimes I think too fast...

My Anschütz had consistent <17 mm groups with tried ammo (R-50). Olympic level is <14 mm (@50 m). Never said I shoot ¼ MOA groups, just that what I'm hoping for. The KYL 5th target is ¼". The clowns are those that won't spend the time (and money) trying out ammo for their rifle and then cry...

Half MOA is a bit too much, would rather have quarter MOA groups if possible... It's all about target size, is it not? If 2 MOA is good enough for you, then why would you bother chasing tighter groups. It's no fun competing if the rifle/ammo combo isn't on par.

Sweet! Looks like mine when I got it. Didn't like the A5 sniper fill though. Too heavy. Not really needed. Turn the right way and no real force is needed. Turn the wrong way and it still won't help.

Feelings? All I care about is facts. 😜 If you feel the AI is a better gun for you, so it is. I appreciate the lightness of the TRG. But then again my experience is with the 22/42 and only in comparison to the AIAW. If it is "sticky", clean the bolt well and apply a light mineral oil to the...

At first, I felt a bit sorry for you. Then I read on and remembered... Not so much any longer. 😜 Seriously. That A1 will be all and everything you'll ever need. 😁👍 And if you do get that action, I'd be happy to try to answer any questions. As will probably more of us TRG enthusiasts in this...

KRG has a polymer trigger guard that might be useful: https://kineticresearchgroup.com/product/trigger-guard-t3/ For some reason there seems to be some trouble regarding KRG and the dealers in my part of the world. I don't know why and I won't speculate, but for some reason or other dealers...

I've said it before and I'll say it again. You'll get nothing for nothing... The KRG stocks are copies of the TRG with modifications. They build off of a main rail to which other component are bolted on to. The KRG folder is excellent and folds to the left due to interference with the bolt...

    Two-stage triggers

Good. Most probably. No. Almost never intentionally. Giving my opinion since my view differ from yours. I apologize. No affront, only poor communication skills... I use knitted mittens over those gloves when it is cold enough and i never hunt in a way that would require me to be so hasty as...

    Two-stage triggers

Good for you! 👍 You didn't specify sub zero (0° C) shooting and I didn't take it into consideration. Though I have gloves where it is possible to wiggle out my index finger for just such an occation. I too have a few rounds in freezing conditions, hence the gloves described above... You do...

    Two-stage triggers

I disagree. My 10 m air rifle has a silly light two stage. Light enough to send the pellet by just touching the trigger if not careful. The brain will adapt and you will learn and feel the first stage. There is no creep. An old Anschütz 2000. The pad on your fingers are very sensitive. Ref...
