    Sako S20

IMnsHO: Beretta isn't "great to deal with" anywhere... The S20 is a hunting rifle. No more, no less. If you want precision, get a TRG. Not that they always deliver, but it's the one "they care" about (but not the civilian market). The S20 is a slimmed down version of the TRG. Shortened 10 mm...

    New scope ideas

The magnification is not as critical as the reticule and a MILDOT might not be the best... It seems you have a lot to learn, good that you are here asking questions. Take what you've got and go to the range and see where your current set up limits your ability. Your scope might lack range of...

    New scope ideas

Get a dedicated LR rifle or at least a scope. 308 works well past 600 but past 800 it, and you, will struggle. And with that scope, will you see the target at all? (Depends on the reticule I suppose)...

    Sako TRG22 Pre-2013 Poor Extraction/Ejection

Size yes. Spring tension? Two springs can have same external but different "internal" dimensions. Wire gauge and number of coils are easy to miss at a glance. Both affect tension. Not really doubting you, just checking. Somewhere in the recesses of my mind I seem to recollect something about...

    Sako TRG22 Pre-2013 Poor Extraction/Ejection

So all is well then? Stovepipes? Stays in the ejection port? Two ejectors are for the 338LM. How many springs comes wit the kit Maybe you took a wrong one last time?

    Sako TRG22 Pre-2013 Poor Extraction/Ejection

I'm not so sure they are different... Not as clean as they could be. No, not stainless (nor spotless). The M995 is a Sporter and came with a polished bolt from the factory. But your bolt faces seem a bit too grimy? I was thinking the smaller neck of the CM was the culprit letting the case...

    Sako TRG22 Pre-2013 Poor Extraction/Ejection

That doesn't look like a brand new extractor to me, but your camera might be what causes it? This is my <500 rounds 22 This is my >5000 rounds M995

    Sako TRG22 Pre-2013 Poor Extraction/Ejection

And the extractor is sharp? Will it hold a shell firmly if you remove the bolt? How much protrution on the ejector pin? Sorry, can't help you with the spring shortening. Never heard about it. Usually when a case fail to extract it's weak springs, dirt or debris...?

    Sako TRG22 Pre-2013 Poor Extraction/Ejection

In what way does it miss the eject? Not forceful enough ejection? Case stays in action? Remove ejection pin and check spring. Either dirt or broken spring (or both) are my initial though.

    Sako S20 precision

Really? The S20 is a slimmed down sporterized version of the TRG. It's called Precision, the stock, but isn't anything more than the Hunter model. Sako doesn't produce any rifles explicitly with the intention of precision other than the TRG. They give a five shot 1 MOA guarantee on all of...

    Sako S20 precision

The TRG is pretty darn close to a Krieger Remington varmint profile. The none fluted might be close, but I've never compared them side by side.

Help: SAKO TRG 22 - Screws

Part diagram is from sako.fi support section. Spare part and accessories brochures are available for download (not always complete though). If you want to call and order, contact your local Beretta dealer (possibly Beretta online but I doubt it).

Sako TRG 41/42 replacement trigger guard?

Just tell me what extension/file format you want them to be. I might have to modify the model to be usable in a mill, but that is short work. I would very much like to add a correct spring location though and I'm not keen on dismantling the stock one I've got since it's on another rifle that...

Sako TRG 41/42 replacement trigger guard?

Nope. Available only as complete trigger assembly. KRG has one for the TRG-S/M995, but not sold separately (and might not work anyway). I printed one: But the finnish and fit isn't 100% and it's a prototype for when I can find someone to make an aluminium one for me... If yours is broken...

TRG appreciation thread - Part III

So. Since this: https://www.snipershide.com/shooting/threads/sako-trg-trg-s-m995-thread-sticky.6260371/#post-6260371 Is no longer working past page 10, let's start a new one. For anything TRG related. Or just for showing off...

    Paint removal on KRG polymer

#000-0000 steel wool and elbow grease. Some car painter I talked to said "Old paint that is hard to remove is the best base coat." though... It depends on the paint and prep that is on there. I used paint thinner and a scraper to remove the paint that was on a used KRG folder plastic grips I...

Cleaning house. One bolt action (caliber) for the man that probably doesn't need a bolt action.

If OP had wrote that he was looking for the absolute best cartridge to whole heartedly get into PRS competitions, you are absolutely right. But OP might want to buy a boltie to try "LR"... The "lay around" is a 336(?).
