    7 mm magnum

For a deer rifle, absolutely the 7 over a 300wm. Amazing ballistics, a little less recoil, less bloodshot meat, and enough power to kill a deer past 1000.

Rifle Scopes Newbie looking for scope advice.

+1 for Sightron SIII. I use the 8-32 on most of my rifles. Use the burris xtr sig rings with the 20moa nylon inserts and you can set it up almost bottomed out, zeroed at 100 or 200 so you have a poor man's zero stop and ALL the scopes travel available.

Help me step up my reloading game

Lapua brass, turn your necks for uniformity if you use hornady.

    New to precision/ long range

Buy a used custom rifle with a low round count with a known accuracy record. Should be plenty of options at $2k. Way more bang for your buck.

Rifle Scopes IOR Valdada scopes, good or bad?

I've had three. IOR glass is excellent IMO. I like the MP8 reticle alot also. I did have one have the crosshairs start moving when adjusting the side focus. I had a new scope in my hands for no charge in two weeks. Just my experience.

    Do you shoot your .223?

I'll say its not as fun as something like a 260/280/etc, but they are still fun. Cheaper and less fatigue with large round counts too.

Rifle Scopes Lightweight scope with Mil and no exposed turret

Swaro Z5 3-18x44 with BRH or BRX reticle. 15.9 ounces of optical bliss. The reticles are on the thin side IIRC. Good luck.

    Precision hunting round

Do you reload? Under 200 yards, a 220 round nose ought to lay the smack down inside of 200 yards out of a 308 or 30-06. I was going to say 300wsm, but the blast from a short barrel would be impressive. (I once traded into a 16" barrel 300 win mag, so I know from experience) A 338 federal or...

Rifle Scopes Scopes and warranties for a 50 BMG?

IMO a NF NXS 8-32 or 5.5-22 is the perfect 50 scope. I don't use mine that often (so I can't justify $1400 being hardly used) so it has a Sightron SIII 6-24 LRMOA on it. Burris Sig XTR rings with the inserts allow me to use the bottom of the scope's travel as a zero stop. A friend has the...

LRHS, or a Sightron SIII FFP with burris xtr sig rings with the inserts so the bottom of the scope's travel is your zero stop

Rifle Scopes Anyone try the Sightron SV SS 10-50x60mm with 34mm main tube and locking turrets?

I've tried one, but just briefly. Optically, it was maybe 5% better in clarity than my SIII 10-50. This is what I was mostly concerned with, ability to spot bullet holes at long distance.
