New Contest Starting Now! This Target Haunts Me
Tell us about the one that got away, the flier that ruined your group, the zero that drifted, the shot you still see when you close your eyes. Winner will receive a free scope!
Looking to pick up a couple hundred 70GR copper bullets so I can do some coyote hunting out here in Comifornia With my AR. If anyone is willing to sell some at a reasonable price let me know.
they do in theory but for a field rifle that wouldn’t be a concern. That’s more of a Ben great thing. I’ll shoot game to maybe 700 and coyotes to 1000. Most modern optics wonr Have any glaring issues with that regardless of if it’s at max magnification or not.
Bummer to hear. Was about to buy a nx8 and went looking for reviews. Glad I found this. I worked at an FFL for 6 years and seen every manufacturer has issues at times, no big deal there. Some handle it really well, leupold, Ziess and vortex come to mind. Some don’t.
For those that are saying “we...
After contacting nightforce about their mil/le program I am leaning heavily towards the NX8. Now debating between the 2.5-20 or the 4-32 and what reticle
Good to know. I’ve been shooting ffp on my rifles for a while and haven’t run into any issues. Just want to drop some weight. Just sold my vudu 5-25 and was shooting a bushnell dmr2 before that. Always kept it at 5x and had no issues with finding the crosshairs when I pulled the rifle up.
Difference between the f1 and f2? Haven’t looked into them much as it would be stretching the budget but I think nightforce still does something for first responders so maybe it’s an option.
Building a 6.5prc and will be hunting with it for most game but also using it to shoot long range etc. trying to be mindful of weight. Leaning heavily to the Leupold mark 5 currently but open to other options and opinions. The 3.6-18x44 comes in at 26oz and the 5-25 30oz. Leaning towards the...
Thanks guys. I’m sold. Decided on a receiver, now just to decide between 6.5cm or 6.5prc and to pick a profile and barrel length. Too many damn choices.
Looking to possibly build a 6.5 prc but availability of know powders has me worried. I will be primarily using Barnes 127lrx. So what would be a decent alternative to RL26 and h1000 that might be available in kegs somewhere?
Thats the way I am leaning. Really the only hold up is ammo and reloading supplies for prc are a nightmare to find currently. Considering how much h4350 and 65cm stuff I have I really should just build a creedmoor
Probably leaning more towards a custom/semi custom. Thinking a barreled action and buying a chassis or something along those lines. Not a fan of most stocks on factory rifles.
