    The class is held in Talkeetna, about a 2hr drive north of Anchorage. Everyone stays at the Sheep Creek Lodge, which has some wonderful staff and a well stocked bar, at least it was well stocked before the classes started?. I live a little farther south in Kodiak.

    The stat I saw on the gram was a 8” barrel, probably a 1-5 twist I’m guessing since it wasn’t listed. Kit Badger has a few posts on Instagram and did a video series about it.

    I doubt there will be a conversion to .300BO for the Fix, different actions. The MiniFix is built around AR-15 mags and is available to pre-order/order now in .224 Valkyrie and could be easily changed to .300BO.

    @MDT_Josh Is there an estimated update on when the T1X version will be available? Last I heard it would be 6-8 weeks and that was almost 9 weeks ago. Just want to know if I should keep waiting, or look for other options.

    It’s definitely my favorite hunting rifle with the 16” .308. Still balances well with the Full Nelson on the end of it too.

    I do use the 308 for hunting, and used it successfully this past deer season. Not sure if there would be an advantage ballistically between 308 or 6.5 for 16” barrels, but I like options.

    I’d say keep both. I have the 6.5 proof barrel and the 16” .308 barrel. The proof barrel is great for the range, but unwieldy to pack around for hunting, especially after installing my Full Nelson on the end of it. I really want to pick up a 16”-18” 6.5 barrel for hunting.

    Look on page 10 or 11. Or search this thread for @skinnj1 , he is who posted a photo and what went into making it fit. It’s not a drop in assembly, I believe he had to machine the top rail to make it sit flush and modify the stock some too.

    I can tell you that when I equip my suppressor to my Fix, it feels much better on my 16” .308 barrel compared to my 24” proof 6.5cm. The rifle balances much better with a shorter barrel.     Anyone know if the T1X will accept T3 top rails? EuroOptic is sold out of the Contessa 20moa rail, but they have the Nightforce T3 20moa rail in stock.
