    That was one of my gripes as well. I am also having issues finding a QD sling that stays attached..... it’s too low profile to work with the proof barrel unless mounted in the farthest forward two positions. My QD sling holds tight in the stock, but pull out of of the rail attachment pretty easy.

    I believe they do offer the Proof barrel upgrade for new guns, they just seem to sell out of them pretty fast in 6.5CM. I’ll see if I have a scale that’ll weigh mine with the 22” Proof 6.5cm if your curious. I bought mine with the 16” .308 but wanted a 6.5cm barrel and my only option at the time...

    I’m excited to see your thoughts on it when you get it back. I feel your choice in barrel selection and fluting would be what I want for a hunting barrel. I have the 24” proof to play with on the range, and would like something short like my .308 barrel for hiking the trails.

    Than Thanks for the testing! Any chance you know the velocity differences between the 22” barrel and your 17”? I may have to order a 16” or 17” barrel for hunting, I did end up getting the proof barrel, just because they ran out of bartlein barrels. Haven’t had a chance to play with it though.

    I’m looking forward to your thoughts on the shortened barrel. I don’t have one to get chopped down, but may have to get one made. A shortened barrel seems like a good option for hunting purposes. Will you just be testing out velocities, or see how it handles at different ranges?

    Mine might be a pre-order gun. If the starting letters in the serial don’t mean anything, I believe I have number 265. Either way, I love the gun. Just need to figure out which 6.5 barrel I want to go with my .308.

    It’s the 16” Bartlein barrel that comes standard. I do want to order a 6.5cm barrel but can’t decide on a proof carbon fiber or the bartlein. I won’t be shooting any matches with it so not sure if it’s worth the extra money for the proof.
