New Contest Starting Now! This Target Haunts Me
Tell us about the one that got away, the flier that ruined your group, the zero that drifted, the shot you still see when you close your eyes. Winner will receive a free scope!
A couple years ago, a guy behind me at the gas station told me welcome home. He was probably 15 years older than me, so likely a Vietnam vet. Threw me for a loop for a second, I'd never been told that before.
I'm a 'Cold War' vet, mid 80s. I generally got indifference and sideways looks after I got out. Not great, but a lot better than what you dealt with.
I still haven't gotten used to 'Thank you for your service', and I really don't know how to respond. I didn't even sign up for .mil discounts...
Kind of OT, but I'm curious about how you hunt rabbits where a scoped .22 is a primary option. I mean, I've shot a few with a .22, but they've been targets of opportunity. I spot one in my yard, and just happen to have a .22 handy. If I got out rabbit hunting, it's always with a shotgun.
