    1" dia 1/2x28 thread spacer

Great! It'll go out tomorrow. I would like to see a pic of your Vudoo and how the spacer works out

    1" dia 1/2x28 thread spacer

@Pocket This look OK? 316 stainless, 1/2x28 threads. OD is .9975" and thickness is .2495". That's about as close as my little Chinese lathe is capable of. I used Caswell Stainless blackener.....not the toughest finish, but you get what you paid for! I spun it on my B14R and popped a few...

    1" dia 1/2x28 thread spacer

I recently got a mini lathe and I'm having some fun turning metal. I have 316 stainless and aluminum bar stock on hand. Shoot me an IM with exact dimensions and which material you'd prefer. (no charge)

    Chinese Balloon

We know that the Chinese have been playing with bioweapons (Wuhan)......balloons would be a cost effective and easy way to infect an entire continent if they wanted to. The Japanese used balloons to deliver incendiary bombs on American soil during WWII. I'm hoping that it's just weather...

    Bergara b-14r pic thread

New Viperskins arrived a day later than expected--it's been rainy and cold, so I had plenty of time to install them, and I took the rifle out today to enjoy the sunshine. Shoots even better than before--the only target on the KYL that gave me any trouble at all was the 1/4", and even that one...

    What happened to billiard/pool halls?

I love shooting pool. Used to hang out at the Golden 8 Ball in Phoenix--I swear, that place had 2 acres of green felt. After I PCSd, I only played a random game at bars here & there, but I recently moved to a new town.....and Grady's Billiards is 20 miles away! It's a seedy little building...

    Bergara b-14r pic thread

Yessir!! It's gonna look even better with the new Viperskins--nothing wrong with the current skins but I'm trying to clone my centerfire. It's hard to believe that I'm not having any trouble finding lefty skins at an aftermarket company but finding anything southpaw from AICS is like searching...

    Bergara b-14r pic thread

I've got a Bravo on my 10-22. It's nice......but it's not 'AICS nice'. My other issue is that I'm a lefty......and when I found a second lefty AICS for just a couple hundred more than a comparably equipped Bravo I sure as hell wasn't gonna pass it up!

    Tuners

I bought a cheap Harrell's AR15 tuner. ($100-ish) I don't pretend to understand the math, and the Purdy method might as well be written in a foreign language. Plenty of people will also tell you that a tuner doesn't do anything on a barrel shorter than 24, or that it's a Dumbo's...

    Bergara b-14r pic thread

I was leaning toward a Bravo, but decided to turn my B14R into a clone of my precision centerfire. I bought a used AICS chassis from a member here and it arrived on Saturday. The Viperskins (to delete the thumbhole) are supposed to be here today. Can't wait to shoot it in the new configuration!

Upsides to shooting a left handed gun?

You know that you want an AICS chassis......;-) They're out there.....you just have to look hard and be ready to pounce when one shows up.

    Maggie’s SH Motorcycle Thread

Laugh if you want, but I'm using a Harbor Freight motorcycle jack. So far, it's let me do the cam chain tensioners and clutch on my old Springer, front/back tires on the Road King, and every other reason I've had to lift the bikes. It sucks for 3 hole services (crossbars are in the way and you...

Upsides to shooting a left handed gun?

100% agree! It doesn't take too much effort to verify if the seller is legit--especially when they're long time SH members. Personally, I wouldn't send any money to anyone that doesn't have a posting history and some positive PX feedback

Upsides to shooting a left handed gun?

Post a WTB in the PX here. The lefty versions are hard to find in the wild, but there's several of us southpaws in this community. I found both of my lefty AICS AT 2.0 chassis here. One was posted in the Left Hand Sales and I scooped it. The other was a reply to my WTB ad that had only been...

    Practicing for Appleseed.....humbled

I had forgotten about this post. Thanks to everyone for the info and encouragement. It's been a year and a half, and I have 4 Appleseeds under my belt--and 4 Rifleman patches  First one I got to attend was in Oct '21, and I managed to pull off a 211 and a 218. #2 was a few months later...

WTB Found one! WTB AICS AT short action lefty chassis

Found one! I KNEW SH was the place to look! Wanting to buy an AICS AT 1.5 or 2.0 left hand R700 short action chassis. I am a MOTIVATED buyer with cash in hand! Trying to set up my B14R as a trainer. Rifle in pic is mine, and this chassis was purchased from a member here at SH--hoping to...

Left Hand Sale FOUND: AICS AT lefty R700 SA chassis

Found one! I KNEW SH was where to look! I'm a motivated buyer with cash in hand--trying to set up my B14R exactly like my centerfire. I got this chassis from a member here on SH a few years ago and hoping I can find another. I dont' care about color, or if it's scuffed up--I'm just gonna...

    The death penalty.

Punishment should match the crime. If the victim died in pain, so should the criminal.

    Who has upgraded their 10/22?

This started out as a basic wood stocked 18" carbine. Like you, I wasn't impressed with the accuracy.....good enough for plinking, and it did get me a few Appleseed scores in the mid-230s, but compared to any of my other rifles, it wasn't up to snuff. VQ tensioned carbon fiber barrel, Timney...

Masks work, you should all wear them......

I used to enjoy woodworking. I never worried about PPE beyond safety glasses and leather gloves for rough work because I had never had a problem before. 25 years ago, I learned the hard way that I'm one of the 25% that's allergic to cocobolo.....and I'm EXTREMELY allergic. I made a beautiful...
