    I've been working on a little project to 3D print some gas tube covers to help protect gas tubes when barrels are out of the gun, be shipped, etc. Now we've started shipping all LMT barrels with them on vs the factory cardboard tubes.

    What barrel length and handguard are you trying to clear? We aren't big fans of PA shims in our shop, they tend to crush like a crush washer. We also don't recommend ever shimming anything but the bare minimum for timing. More shims = less threads and a higher chance of mis-alignment.

    I use an LMT bcg in my gun because it’s one of the few full auto bcgs and well….my gun is full auto. Unless your gun is Armalite, any DPMS bcg will work. Double check the headspace and shoot it.

    It’s a nice stock. Much lighter than other versions of the PRS. It does install over a carbine or A5/ LR308 buffer tube.

    It depends on what is being done to the barrel, but generally, it's not wise to chuck up on the CF portion of the barrel.

    This would be easy enough to fix by turning down the damaged section and leaving the intact section. If you’re having trouble finding someone to do it, I’d be happy to lend a hand getting it repaired.
