Our primary AO is Northwest Florida so we are approximately 200 feet above sea level. I would say effective range would be what I was inquiring about instead of "max" effective range. Basically, what is the effective range capability of the .308 out of a 1:12 20" barrel.
The rifle Remington LTR .308 with a 20" 1:12 barrel and we shoot FGMM 168g with a muzzle velocity of approx. 2600 fps. I would say the max effective range is between 1000 to 1200 yards but I am looking for some additional input and a more definitive answer on this subject. Thank you in advance.
My AT did not come with the longer LOP screws either. Fortunately, I have a ton of these AI screws and found the correct length I needed for the extra spacers. Just call up the distributor you bought the rifle from and they will send you the hardware you are missing.
Any quality coated ONE PIECE cleaning rod will work fine. Stay away from the multiple piece cleaning rods as they have the potential to severely damage your barrel if they break while cleaning. Be sure to use a good jag at the end of your cleaning rod as well. I prefer the female jags that...
I would suggest something fully adjustable like an AI chassis or the McRee chassis. Being as tall as you are a "off the shelf" stock will just not work for you. LOP will be a big issue for a guy as tall as you with a non adjustable stock.
