Most Efficient way to carry this list of things

The Eberlestock XD LoDrag would get my vote. You can carry your rifle in the pack or use a more traditional 2 point sling of your liking and have it slung in front of you. you will have plenty of room for the stuff you mentioned and some extras if you need it without be a really large pack...

Who can Thread my Barrel 5/8x24 TPI on an HS Precision HTR with 24" Heavy barrel?

+1 take it to GAP and you won't have to worry about the work quality. A little piece of mind and assurance that you don't put a round through the end cap of your suppressor.

    Berger 127 Gr 257 Hybrid - 0.300 G7 & 0.59 G1 BC

I would be in for one! the .257x47 or a 25Creedmoor would be sweet with that bullet!

    MDT LSS Vs XLR Element

+ 1 for the XLR, top notch product from some top notch guys! The Element with the tac lite stock is an awesome combo, throw in the folding adapter and it's even better.

    Starting Platform Question

If I were you I would order a prefit barrel of your liking, I would go with 6.5 creedmoor but 260 would be good too. The prefit barrels are cheap and you can put them on at home. Slap that puppy in an XLR element and you will have a very fine startup rig.

What .308 brass would be best to get max accuracy and why? New to loading rifles

I have had really good luck with using the FC brass from fired FGMM ammo. I bought 500 of them for dirt cheap and they should last me awhile even if I only got 3-4 firings on them. I started off using 100 of them over and over and got 7 firings on them and they still were holding up just fine. I...

338 LAPUA Vs. 6.5 CreedMoore Which one!!!!!!!!!

6.5 Creedmoor all the way, it is what I shoot in PRS matches and I was able to put 3 of 5 shots on a 24" target at 1300 yards with a 30 MPH 90* cross wind at a match early this year. I would say if you are wanting more gun that that and still stay pretty practical, go with a 6.5 SAUM or a 7...

Hope I made the right choice....build thread

I love my SPR! I put the FN TBM on it before I had other rifles that took AICS mags. I wish I would have sent it to CDI for their AICS bottom metal. It is a fantastic rifle and will keep up with almost all the custom 308's out there. I hate to say it but I almost prefer the FN action over my...

Cost v. Benefit of Reloading .308

Only you can decide if it is worth your time. I will say for 308 the match ammo off the shelf match ammo shoots almost as good as any hand load I have ever made for me 308 so performance is a wash. If you don't want to spend the time reloading for your 308 buy FGMM 175's and sell your once...

    77gr SMK Possible Powders

I have had amazing results with Power Pro 2000MR. I use 26 grains for my gas gun and for my light load for my 24" Surgeon bolt rifle. For hunting and longer range 223 work the bullets are seated long and I use 27 grains and get insane velocity with that load ONLY in the bolt rifle. This powder...

New to Long Range, looking for advice between these two rifles

I think the 308win is a sufficent round to start with but I also think there are better choices even for a beginner. I got a friend started with the savage LRP model 12 in 6.5 Creedmoor and he loves it. Hornady match with the 140 amax is really great ammo and doesn't cost any more than 308 match...

little advice from your personal experience on a bolt rifle??

I LOVE my SPR a1! It was my first non-hunting type rifle and I didn't know much about precision shooting at that point when I bought it. After getting to be around some guys that have been doing it for a long time I upgraded my glass, added the TBM and got the rifle bedded and my groups with...

    Suppressors Silencer tech?

Like Trevor, I shoot with quite a few guys that use them all the time and I have shot most of their rifles with them. Barry's suppressors are on some of the best shooting rifles out there and many have been used to win or place very high at PRS matches so I know when I get mine out of ATF jail I...

6.5mm Berger 140 Hybrid accuracy issues.

You won't have any trouble selling what you have left i promise. But I have yet to see a bolt rifle that won't shoot a 140 hybrid well.
