    Issues resizing Lapua Brass

Tumbling and cleaning the necks with a brush before sizing may offer some more immediate relief than tracking down a bushing die.

6.5 PRC Big Horn Origin , ejection issues?

Origin with a Wyatt's bdl setup. Had to tune feeding a bit, but never had ejection issues.

    Bighorn TL3 Extraction Issues

What brass are you using? Have you checked the headspace on the barrels you've been using?

    Mini Mauser?

My 527 in 223 is always a joy to shoot. Wish it was threaded, but that wasn't an option at the time.

    Insurance is a Scam

What you're describing is how mutual insurance companies often work. I've had an auto policy that paid dividends at the end of the year based on earnings. Issue is that you still needs someone to determine how much should be paid, and some kind of agreement between the parties on what they're...

    Insurance is a Scam

Competition has driven prices down, but the other result is that the base policies cover the average needs of the average person. The average person doesn't have a ton of bullion and wouldn't want to pay extra to cover something they don't have. As above, get a safety deposit box, or buy higher...

    Insurance is a Scam

I'd be very surprised if your coins were fully insured. Unless you're taking out a floater policy on specific coins money will have a sublimity just like gold/jewelry, likely a lower one as well. Valuation shouldn't change with cause of loss either (although some sublimits only apply in case...

IMR 4451 What Cartridges Are You Using It For?

Great results in the 6.5 creedmoor with 147eld-m and 7mm-08 with heavies for me.

    16” 6.5 Creedmoor

Just keep in mind it will be loud. I went 16.5" on an ar-10 and wish I had gone longer for the noise alone. If the gun is a lot louder you kid might think it kicks more than it does. I'm at the point where I shoot the ar-10 only when I can put my can on it.

    Choosing a 308 action/barrel

Origin plus a shouldered prefit and a trigger puts you well under $2,300.

Best way to move lots of guns?

I rented a truck and drove it myself. Try to rent an electric stair climbing hand truck if you need to go up or down stairs with the sage (or large furniture), worth every penny.

    14.5/16” 6.5 creedmoor rifle?

I have a 16" Wilson Combat Paul Howe as well. Goal was to have a light semi for my girlfriend to hunt with. I ended up at 7.9lbs naked, 9 on the nose scoped with a mag. Mostly happy. The velocity takes a hit, which I expected and it doesn't like the 129SST I was hoping to use (had 600 on the...

Factory Tikka offerings in 6.5 PRC

Great option for the PRC, especially if they have the longer bolt stop and magazines in. My friend's Superlite in 6.5 creedmoor shoots very well bone stock.

    Norma 7mm-08 brass?

I just sized down in one step. Outside neck dimension was within the saami print and they fired ok. If you get a tight neck you'll have to turn them. If you're looking for large primer brass its unecessary, but I have a ton of small rifle primers and nobody makes small rifle 7mm-08 that I know of.

    Norma 7mm-08 brass?

I haven't used the norma, but I just got a barrel in 7mm-08 and I'm using Lapua 308 palma necked down to 7mm-08. Depending on your chamber you may need to turn necks. Powder valley and a few others have it in stock for around $90/100. If you want large rifle primer, tons of options. Starline...

Big Horn Origin(stainless) or ARC Nucleus

I'm running 30mm low seekins rings on my origins. Unless you get rid of the picatinny rail and go direct mount the handle shouldnt be the limiting factor. I can't speak for the nucleus, I cancelled my pre-order after waiting well past the original delivery date, but the origin is a great value...

In need of 6mm creedmoor ammo

6 creed is the only thing consistently on the shelves at my sportsman's warehouse. They have the Hornady match and usually a few of the berger and federal offerings. Prices are little high but not terrible.

Where to buy a Bighorn Action wrench?!

Last few times I emailed PVA they hadn't don't a run yet. Big horn said a few weeks. Got mine from southern precision, but they're OOS now too. Altus had the big horn ones two weeks ago, OOS now as well. If you were local I'd lend you mine for a day. Has to be someone in Idaho with one for you...

To mix Lapua brass lots or not

Sounds like a good opportunity for a side by side test. Same load in both brass. Shoot groups with each, shoot a few groups half and half, average them out. Whether there's a difference that matters will depend on you and your standards for accuracy. Lots of guys would say to not mix, but if...
