    Bighorn SR3 mag feed rails

I'm going to answer your question with the opposite setup. I have an origin which only comes with the standard feed rails. I have the bottom opened for a Wyatt's extended but feed rails are unmodified. Running a Wyatt's box and follower for PRC and it feeds well. Sometimes the follower gets...

Change of plans to my LW build, DBM and WSM.

I've got the Hawkins on my PRC with a Wyatt's box and follower. The Hawkins BDL is extremely nice and I've never had it pop open under recoil.

From ZAI - ORIGIN LONG ACTION

I would've built my PRC as a 280AI had this come out a year ago! Rifle is together and shooting, too late to change now. But, happy to see you guys expanding the origin line. I have two and they have both been great.

Change of plans to my LW build, DBM and WSM.

No issues with a DBM and the WSM mags. Could also run a BDL setup, depending on what your definition of light weight is and preference for mag setups.

    Ruger Closing on No-Go

Just for clarity, your first post said you had a go and no go gauge. Do you have 3 gauges? Closing on field gauge would show headspace as even more than what the no go would allow.

    Origin not really throwing brass

Did you bend the extractor on a headspace gauge? You have to slip the gauge under the extractor, if you close the bolt on the gauge it can bend it.

    Suppressors Rugged Radiant 762

Last December they were doing 2 flash hiders on top of whatever you get with the can. I think current promotion is a discount on their .22 can.

    Suppressors Rugged Radiant 762

Glad to hear good things on rugged. I have a razor in jail since December as my first can. QD can with a great warranty and 3 mounts for $619 was enough to sell me on it. Still going to wear ear pro, but maybe I won't have to double up anymore.

    6.5 prc help

7mm-08 may also be a good option depending on how short you want to go. Great bullet selection, probably slightly less ammo selection than the 308. I went 26" on my PRC because it didn't make much sense to me to stuff a ton of slow burning powder in a case and feed it through a short tube. That...

    6.5 prc help

Barrel is a 26" Rock Creek #2 cut by PVA. It still seems to be speeding up, but I pulled out my book and I'll list the high end (of what I tested) data below in order it was shot. It has definitely been speeding up each trip, so take it with a grain of salt. 147 ELD-M w. 51.1 gr of IMR4831 at...

    Bighorn Origin Build Thread

Running a PRC out of a Wyatt's extended box. Other than having the action opened for the box, no mods to feed rails etc.

    6.5 prc help

I don't have data with factory ammo, but I have some numbers with H1000 and 140Accubond, and IMR4831 with the 147 eldm. My barrel is still speeding up though, only 80 rounds through it so far.

    Lightweight hunting stock options

I'm happy with my EH6. I believe with the larger proof barrel you have to step up to the EH6-A which has a wider top to accommodate the larger barrel (up to proof medium contour). If you want something slimmer or an EH8 etc, may want to consider just going with a steel barrel. I have a Rock...

    ORIGIN Orders

I almost hope there isn't a long action origin because I would have preferred that to the second short action I bought! Oh well. The short mags get me pretty darn close to the 280ai I was dreaming about anyway.

    1k for a 300 Win Rifle

Howa with the stock of your choice should get you in well under budget. Tikkas are very nice too. Lots of options in that price range. Think about what features matter most to you and go from there.

Anyone have experience with geissele R700 trigger?

Very happy with the two I have. Haven't felt the need to adjustvjt whatsoever. Great pull weights for range and field.

    Best inch pound torque wrench

Very happy with my borka tools one. Check out 8541 tactical review. It's a solid tool with a lot of functionality

    500-700 elk/deer lightest recoil?

I'd go Seekins or piece together something custom on a big horn origin with a PVA prefit. I got mine in rock creek's #2 contour and its solid.

    500-700 elk/deer lightest recoil?

Another vote for 6.5 PRC. Built mine and its 8.125 lbs with the scope and the recoil feels more mild than my old 270 to me

    Winchester M70 Build

If you end up with a 1 piece floorplate I believe bell and Carlson still make a few stocks. Might be a good fit depending on what you're after.
