Help me plan my drive down I-40 to CA from PA

H&H Gunrange is right on I40 in Oklahoma City. They aren't the cheapest place in okc to get things, but it would be a nice stop for lunch time, as they have retail shop, an indoor range, and a cafe/resturant all in the gunstore. And as other Okies have said 3rd generation shooting supplies is...

Maggie’s Dining out in Enid, OK

The guy is an asshat, but like others have said his place, his rules. I live 30 miles south of there. I know people who were told to leave for wearing a ball cap or having a tattoo showing. I've heard he's pretty racist, but I haven't seen it first hand. People here have known about this guys...

How to Move a Safe (1000 lbs.)

I'm about to do the same with the one I just bought. I got an Amsec 7250. Sumbitch weighs 1800 pounds. I've got a tractor with forks and a pallet jack. I think getting it off of the pallet and into the final position is going to be the hardest part. Any suggestions on getting 1800 pounds off a...

    Fieldcraft What's a good knife

Agreed. The EESE knives are good for that. They sharpen easily and hold an edge pretty decent.

PTSD sufferers helped by farm work

My granddad always used to tell people this line. "I'm working on my second million by farming and raising cattle, gave up trying to get the first million."

    Suppressors SS Sparrow

I run my SS Sparrow on a 22/45 Lite, a Tac Sol Glock upper, and a Nordic Components .22 ar15 upper. Works awesome on all 3 (can't run subsonic in the Glock though.) I have the oring adapter on the Nordic upper but just run regular threads on the 2 pistols. Never had any problem with the threads...

    short barrel cartridge choice help

    I have a 18" 6.5x47. I can easily get 130's to 2600fps and the 95 gr vmax to 3000fps. I also have a 18" 308. I have shot it to 1000 yards so I would think hunting with it out to 5-600 wouldn't be a problem.

Gunsmithing Headspace and Barrel nut Assembly

Here's how I do all mine. Buy a go gauge for intended caliber, use it as the go gauge, put 2 layers of clear scotch tape on the case head and use that as the no go gauge. From my experience that is usually .004 larger. If you can get it to work that way great, if not add 1 more layer. That...

    It's not fur friendly, but I'm using a 6.5x47 lapua with 95gr vmax @ 3000fps out of a 18" barrel.

1:8 twist too fast for 22-250?

I have a 22-250 Ackley with a 1/8 twist barrel. The only problem I've had are with the 40gr varmint hollowpoints. It would sling the jackets off about every 3rd round. The 40gr vmax didn't have any problems though. The 75gr amax are what I normally use.
