Area 419 Arca lock or something else

I am switching my standard Area 419 ArcaLock rails to the new tunable rail. Mainly because my rifles are a bit rear heavy. So installing the tunable rail helped balance the rifle out. Also, the added weight has helped reduce felt recoil a tad more. The tunable rail is thicker due to the weights...

    BCM SS410 barrels

I have an 18” BCM SS410 and could never get it to shoot less than 1.2” at 100 yds with 77gr bullets. I bought it back in 2013 and used it for 3-Gun and worked fine. However, now that I want a sub-MOA AR, I am looking for better options. WOA, PROOF, Rainier, etc.

    Brand loyalty. Bias opinions.

That’s what I see typically. People buy a cheaper cost scope and then expect it to perform like the higher end models from the same company. Then they complain because the glass is not as clear or tracking properly. I shoot for Vortex as of the past 2-yrs, but have ran their Razor Gen 2 since it...

Area 419 ARCA Rail pic thread

The tunable measures about .419 thick. Haven’t used it yet so I don’t know if it flexes at all.

Area 419 ARCA Rail pic thread

I just installed this rail last week and haven’t gotten a chance to use it. I didn’t really use the barricade stop as much as I thought I would. In the past, I just pushed up to the mag lip area. I did order one of Area 419’s removable barricade stops just in case though. My rifles tend to be...

Area 419 ARCA Rail pic thread

Lol! Yeah, although these are different calibers, I do like keeping things the same for muscle memory. To add, I also shoot for some of these companies now, but used their products before joining their team.

Member Link Up Central Florida Members?

Not that weekend, but want to. I’d have to go as a guest since I can’t purchase an annual membership. JTAC only wanted annual memberships initially, which I wanted to purchase, but not if I can only use it for 2 months.

I believe they are trying to hold PRS matches there. I know some MD’s discussing that with JTAC. They just have to wait until the damn range opens up. Been here 3-yrs and it’s still not open.

    .223 - 5.56

I know this post is from 2019, but I run the Nosler 77 gr Custom Comps in my .223 Wylde bolt gun with 8208XBR. I load to 23.2gr, at .015 off the lands. I’m using a 1/8 twist 22” barrel and get 2793 fps. I also tested the 77gr RDF and they are hammering too. I’m running those at 23.4gr of...
