New Contest Starting Now! This Target Haunts Me
Tell us about the one that got away, the flier that ruined your group, the zero that drifted, the shot you still see when you close your eyes. Winner will receive a free scope!
M friend, we can go on this forever...just because you are not admitting real facts? ...or do you need a text comprehension lecture? :ROFLMAO:
I have a friend who is the representative for Weibel, so I know what I'm talking about. Radar signature is a function of reflective surface (first and...
Of course, it's a great aid when needing a starting point, indeed a nice technical approach to do this instead of the usual "fudging", having said this it's for sure a very nice experiment to conduct. Please keep us posted and all the luck (y)
Hope you all the best in your experiments, but AFAIK Labradar is not the tool for the job, except when you need a starting point to further refine an initial BC, in such scenario it's for sure a handy help.
Excellent point, morever having an artillery grade radar means nothing because the real issue is with tracking the size (reflective surface) of the projectile, in other words you may have got the most expensive Doppler radar on the planet and still won't be able to track beyond 1000/1200 if and...
My dear friend, let me address what you said,

CALIBER
RANGE PERFORMANCE
(TYPICAL / MAXIMUM)
5.56mm (-58dBsm RCS)
350m / 500m
155mm (-25dBsm RCS)
1700m / 3300m
same for Weibel...you actually posted " 5.56mm caliber rounds from up to 250m...
Please keep me posted, I'm really curious about since the manufacturer states very clearly that the unit is not meant for measuring BCs at least with a certain degree of accuracy and reliability. I know some people got some useful data but again, good only for short to medium ranges, and...
I have to agree that when inside 1000 or 1200 yards all good engines will work well, the real issue is when you get into transonic and that's where you see why a 100K car is not the same as 1990 Toyo. Same happens on the race track.
Plotting a curve fit on Excel is something everyone can do and it's far away from being "reverse engineering" that's a funny and a wrong idea of how things actually work. If you were right, then there would not be any need for developing the science of ballistics and the last 100 years were...
Well, if you are into real ELR it's not a "couple of clicks" that would matter...it's way more than that and even with a Cd "curve" most apps would fail, because Cd curves are not much better than a well established BC. I'm talking from my real world experience not from the ballistics side of...
As a long time user of CB1 I have to say that I agree with your assessment. CB engine is so different from the usual Point Mass that the investment is worth every penny. UIs are a very personal thing, I never had any trouble running CB and to be honest, never got used to FFS and Strelok. On the...
I guess he meant the DC factor but you can ask him to be sure. I run CB on the Phone not on the Nomad anymore, but never had any trouble with it though. Anyway as soon as Genesis rolls out I'll move to Android.
A few days ago, Eduardo Fontucuberta (the creator of the KO2M) posted this on Facebook regarding the Prince of 22LR match held in France a week ago, which I followed daily.
Special mention to Patagonia ballistics ColdBore solver as once I got my custom data right in my tests, by using its drag...
Right on the money for as long as you run Point Mass. FFS and Patagonia's Coldbore are the two most accurate solvers out there, and both are based on proprietary engines. It's not only about having accurate data, you also need an accurate engine.
