You were the one who suggested removing the extractor, not me. Except that it isn't, in this case. 0.268 seems like it'd be about what you'd normally get after sizing down, minus a little for spring back. 0.271 before seating would give almost zero neck tension, depending on the neck thickness. I've ran into this myself a few times... but I never had it...- memilanuk

You shouldn't have to take the extractor out for this operation. But, I would normally recommend taking the firing pin assembly (cocking piece, etc.) out so that you don't have that spring pressure masking the feel. If they aren't belled when they go in the die, then they're hitting something *inside* the die. There's a pretty limited number of options for what they could be contacting. And since it's only *some* of the cases, not all, you need to figure out what's different about those particular cases...- memilanuk

The folks I've spoken with said that 99% of the time they don't even notice it. Probably that 1% is when they need a little extra primary extraction, and feel the handle pivot rather than having to smack it up.- memilanuk

I mainly got the K&M case holder because of some operations that I was doing where the cutting tool would dig in, and even with gloves it was f'ing miserable to try and grip each and every case tight enough to keep it from spinning. Not saying "I couldn't", just that it sucked a$$ for any...- memilanuk

Should I run a 6mm GB?
