    Got ahold of the CC company, and disputed the charges. After a few days, they issued a credit back to my card, but said the case was 'still under investigation'. Meanwhile, my order still shows 'processing' on Aero's website - same as it has for two months.

    I haven't gotten to fondle one yet... but the CDG definitely has me curious. I've got a handful of barrels (nothing like your collection! ;) ) for my Origin that are all Savage small-shank threaded. Figured I'd stay in that groove with the Solus... but they pissed that away.

    1. Check that you are using the correct side of the jaws. The 'large' side of the 'standard' jaws should handle most regular magnums, at max spread. 2. If that doesn't work, there is a second set of jaws available, ie 'LS'. Usually it's just for really teeny (Hornet) and really big (338LM)...

    Yup. There *is* a 'higher' node for the 30" barrels, around the 2720 range. Last time I tried getting there, I blew forty percent of the primers out of virgin Lapua Palma brass, and the remaining cases were pretty much wrecked as well. So 2740 out of a 22" factory barrel? Not buying it. Bingo.

    I call bull shit. People run 200.20Xs - or S200MK - @ 2630-2670 fps every weekend, using SRP brass (take your pick of brands) out of purpose-built single-shot target rifles in FTR - using 30-32" barrels. A very, very few run north of 2700 fps - the ones who either lucked into a 'fast' barrel...
