    sorry I was referring to your reticle in your optic in post#257. The main stadia of reticle in picture #5 is correct. I'm personally against the mixture of dots, lines and + in the tree. I'd go for just dots

    @carbonbased @blksno Both your reticles have .2 mil markings that alternate sides of the horizontal stadia, that doesn't make sense to me. I prefer all .2 on one side and then a .5 mark on the other.

    You should heavily consider getting into hand loading. It's a rabbit hole but you can get away with a very basic setup. especially for that little amount you can for go the luxury stuff that saves time and just go with the basics.

    IMO to reliably make impacts at a mile you need to hand load. There's nothing wrong with a WM but to utilize the high BC bullets you need a faster twist and properly throated to maximize case capacity. Which is where the 300 PRC comes in, it's set up to run high BC bullets right out of the box...

    Never noticed thickness difference between dot and crosshairs, not saying it doesn't exist just I've never noticed. I could see this if the + is the exact size of a ring or something making it easier to get exact center, outside of paper punching disciplines that doesn't have much merit.

    I have an issue with red dot's also. It's not terrible but for sure not the best. I've yet to fork over the cash for an EOTECH, I'd like to try one before I buy.

    Why do you like the +? IMO (and everyone I've talked to) it's worse in basically every way. Blocks more view and doesn't allow as precise aiming.

    I've got a couple buddies that use Eratac mounts on their ELR rifles. Seems to work pretty well for them. No complaints from them.

    7 PRC should get you really close to 3k fps with 175's If you want more I'd go 7-300 PRC or 7-300NM. I have a bad taste from 28 Nosler. I've heard of good ones but the only one I've played with doesn't make the speed it should

    Honestly I got so used to the tint it's kinda weird with out it. The G2 are pretty sweet tho.
