    If you need more speed go to a larger case. Taking a case from a safe load to over pressure is rarely more than a couple clicks on the elevation turret and basically meaningless in the wind.

    You should try a ballistic calculator, it works really good. Like I said in the other thread, it's possible to make impacts at closer distance using some of these hand math techniques but it falls apart at ELR distances.

    YA at SAUM velocity you are sacrificing a fair bit more. get them going as fast as possible. 7-300 PRC or 7-300 NM would work well.

    That's questionable at best. You may be able to get some cheaper WM brass but it's usually trash. If you buy decent brass it's the same price. I have not seen a shortage in 300 PRC brass at all. Which isn't even really a factor if he's not planning to hand load. WM vs 300 PRC factory ammo...
