    Sounds good. 3/4 moa will do fine. I'm not hunting past 300 yards with a 223 regardless of what the guys on rokslide say. Seems like 25.8-26.3 is the sweet spot for Staball match on a long throated Rem Match chamber with a bolt gun (62K PSI) Should give about 2780FPS out of a 20in near max...

    What’s the current word on the street with Staball match ? Is it kind of a TAC substitute except it’s a bit more temp stable ? I get can both for about the same price. Planning to load 77TMK at 2.475in out of a 20in bolt gun at 60K psi. I can also get N540 for a small premium.

    Reviving this thread. My usual 223 load is 24.3 varget and 80.5 Berger at 2.495in out of a 26in tube. I’m building a 20in lightweight hunter based around the 77tmk at 2.475in and I’m out of XBR. Curious what kind of speed and accuracy staball match gives vs TAC and varget.

    Will carbon fiber rimfire barrels do well in competition?

    I have a 16in Paradigm RimX CFW. It does really well but at about 300yards the heavier longer barrels do better. It will crack supersonic every once in a while.
