New Contest Starting Now! This Target Haunts Me
Tell us about the one that got away, the flier that ruined your group, the zero that drifted, the shot you still see when you close your eyes. Winner will receive a free scope!
Yes, the 20 MOA rail will keep you in the center of the glass. With my Savage 10 FCP and the Steiner 5-25 Txi, I was running medium Vortex Precision Matched rings without an issue.
@djdilliodon - A guy got to try!!! You put together a mean setup and unfortunately, you are THE man when it comes to CZs so it is just so hard to let your talents go!!! I do greatly appreciate getting insight into your wisdom with posts on here and rimfirecentral.
I was thinking of a trainer as cheaper ammo. 223 seems about as cheap as you can make in bulk. Is there any advantage for it to be 223 AI?
Also when I priced making match quality ammo out of 223. I wasn't seeing a huge saving so what is others thinking... I am currently leaning towards a 22 lr...
I am just waiting for you to do a barreled action for me... with your custom work and fit!
I know, I know... you are retired but I am sure you could do just one more!!!!
Thanks guys! That is a little steep for me. I am more of 2500 round count kind of guy. ;) I was thinking more of a trainer barrel but that doesn't seem like the right fit.
I think that you may be able to get a barrel from Fedderson or WhistlePig. RimfireCentral.com has some good info. Fedderson seems to always be out of stock but I don't know if you call if they will make one and the WhistlePig hasn't been out that long.
The other thing that I thought was it may be that certain barrels don't like certain bullets and when you find the barrel bullet combination that works than you will know it. It is not Voodoo but close to it... ;-)
