New Contest Starting Now! This Target Haunts Me
Tell us about the one that got away, the flier that ruined your group, the zero that drifted, the shot you still see when you close your eyes. Winner will receive a free scope!
I am hoping to find someone that can tell me about the quality of the turrets and optics and what are comparable other models of scope that have the similar quality. I don't want to pay 400+ for a scope that has the quality of PA 4-14 that I can find for way less.
Does anyone have hands on experience with the Shepherd BRS scope? I am looking at one for a 22lr Trainer but couldn't find any feedback online about them. Scope will also share time with a Long Range 22 cal AR (224 Valkyrie, 22 Creed, 22 Grendel, etc.) when the upper gets built.
I have similar...
I am in the exact same boat with your specs. I have a T5xi and my requirement match point on.
I would probably jump on the Burris XTR II but I hate that it's min parallax is 50 yds. I even looked at a Shepherd BRS 4-16x44 but can't find any feedback about the scopes so I am a little hesitant...
This is something else to think about... B&H Photo - Steiner T5xi for $1500 plus $50 gift card
I also have another B & H Photo gift card that I am selling at a reduced price -...
I was thinking about doing this same route with the SCR reticle. My long range rifle has a T5xi 5-25 and then I was going to get a 3-15 Steiner or 4-40 Burris for the trainer. This lets me span a large price differential with the same reticle. Interested to hear what you come up with.
I will first say that I have not used the shell holder as a replacement for my jaws however doesn't that negate some of the advantages of having free floating cases for concentricity? That was one of my reason about not going down that route.
I have a Bushnell ERS in the PX that would be a great fit for you! Great glass and I have shot out to 1000 yards with it. https://www.snipershide.com/shooting/threads/fs-reduced-bushnell-ers-3-5-21-g2.6858650/#post-6895774
That is a smart move! I will also be interested to hear what other say. My experience is with shooting a centerfire out to 1000 so I don't know that I will be much help. Sorry.
I have a Bushnell ERS 3.5-21 that would definitely do the job if you want something in that range. It is in the PX and I have it for sale for $1150. Send me a PM if you want more information. https://www.snipershide.com/shooting/threads/fs-clean-bushnell-ers-3-5-21-g2.6858650/#post-6877773
