New Contest Starting Now! This Target Haunts Me
Tell us about the one that got away, the flier that ruined your group, the zero that drifted, the shot you still see when you close your eyes. Winner will receive a free scope!
Run with it! Worst case is something might not chamber but I doubt it. Prob child I'm dealing with made me measure case belts. Federal brass and only one measured .220 on one side. (go gauge) the worst was .212".
Better to have him cry about hard bolt closing than flat primers ;-)
Couldn't see the sense in shooting 3 since the 2nd wasn't acceptable. I have another guy telling me the same or shoot 4 or 5. I can't live with a 2" drop so if I can't fix it with a float or pressure point it's getting a new tube.
Yep.
Got in late so it will have to wait 'til tomorrow. I'll try to post pics of the bedding and target. Owner has the target and is threatening a shrimpfest tomorrow night so it may be another day before I can post pics.
Kinda bummed that Chad, Dave and 300sniper are silent. Surely someone...
Least you could do is tell us if the chamber showed signs of polishing the screw or if it was a deep hole that blew out. Talked to a guy today who just went thru Trinidad that said they taught it was acceptable to fit a screw to the chamber if they drilled thru?????????????????? as long as you...
JG; When I shim it, the screws will only be tight enough to hold it in the stock. Just want some air between the bbl and bedding. I'm well aware of stressing the action when bedding.
SJ; I haven't pulled it to verify but I normally relieve everything vert. behind the lug. including the curves...
This is more for conversation than a miracle cure. Just thought I'd throw it up and see what sticks. I've only heard of one other rifle that did this but I didn't shoot to verify.
Scraps I put together,
Pre '64 70 in 375 H&H #3 Douglas XX walnut stock acraglas bedded from tang to fe tip...
Funny how that works. boa says it denies severing ties with McMillan to cover their ass right after severing ties. Seems to be the new trend. Lie and deny = legit excuse.
I'd say lawsuit but the sensible thing is to flip them the bird on the way to another bank that wants to make some $ ;-)
I watched a guy I used to work with pop one. 22-250 on a Sako. Not sure if the bullet got pushed clear of the neck because the WD-40 flood didn't kill the powder. Put an interesting crease in the cheekpiece;-)
Truth is we all have cancer "cells". Our immune system keeps them at bay. I admire all of you that have fought them through the system. I am convinced that doctors will kill you and f'ing with cancer cells is a disaster.
Seems everyone I know that went under the knife lost the battle. My dad...
Just pokin' fun as usual.
I assumed that you would know that the threads would be screwed up if the pin went into the tennon.
As they said back in school! When you assume, be prepared to assume the position ;-)
I'll try not to make that mistake again ;-) Dumbass!
U might want to slow your ducati down a bit and read all of the OP's post and Chads. Had Krieger pinned thru the extension into the bbl tenon I doubt this thread would exist.
The moral of the story is;-) Don't hold the bbl. Hold the receiver!
Yep, me too! Has all of the indications of polishing a plug.
Another query; we have the bbl fitter, ceracoater and the local smith that discovered the hole in the chamber. Are they all the same guy?
Seems we really don't have all of the facts ;-)
Guess that's why I had ????????????????
I was giving the naysayers the benefit of the doubt and thought 'Maybe" the hole never went into the chamber and finally blew out. Hence post #74. Thanks for saving me the trouble ;-)
