    Not 100% sure, but guessing Iceland. The black lava sand beach is a bit of a tell. I was there this time last year and this picture has the look of Iceland.

    I agree with you in general. There was lots of prior art to draw on. That is not the AUV I was thinking of BTW. The one I came across did have a watertight section for sensors. I got access to the paper via work, but it is in the public domain somewhere.

    The Navy did actually build an autonomous underwater vehicle with a carbon fiber cylinder with titanium end caps. There is a publicly available paper on it that runs to a bit over 100 pages. Not sure what the depth rating was, but it certainly wasn't Titanic depths. They talked a lot about...

    Iron dome calculates the ballistic trajectory and will not engage if the missile will land in an area deemed "safe". So, it won't engage a rocket that is going to fall into an orchard on a kibbutz for instance. The logic being why waste an expensive warhead to protect a tree?

    Is that the Quigley-Ford super duper CQB scope on the custom offset barrel AR-15? I really, really want one of those. I heard it will help me with my bow kills and concrete work!
