Re: Makin' me Crazy FTF 300 WM
That's a frozen firing pin. Nothing to worry about. Strip the bolt completely and degrease it thoroughly. Then lube w graphite powder as the above gent suggested. You should not have that issue again after that
Re: HS Precision bottom metal
I think there's one over at the hens teeth for sale section. But seriously, did you try H-S precision directly? Or Brownells? Also, do you need short or long action? I have a guy that might be able to help
Re: Borrow a rear sight adjuster tool for a 1911?
If it is just a dovetailed fixed rear sight all you need is a good brass punch and a hammer, some ammo and a little trial and error.
Re: Semi-Custom 1911 Reliability
Im with Tim. My LB/TRS seemed too tight when i first got it but i put about 1k out of it before cleaning it. No issues during that first thousand rounds or anytime after. Most accurate pistol i have EVER had
Re: SIG p220 combat vs 220 carry??
The deciding factor will be your body type, the holster you choose and where you decide to carry. All the Sigs you mention are great pistols. It will be a matter of which one you can hide the best.
Re: So what's the difference, custom or mass produced?
If youre talking about 4500-5k you might as well spend it on EXACTLY what YOU want. Not what an expensive factory job costs. For that amount of money go custom and you will not regret it
Re: need input!!
If youre going to use this mainly in a square range the A-5 would be ok. If you're actuallu going to use this rifle in the field, an A-3 would give you more versatility in field shooting.
