New Contest Starting Now! This Target Haunts Me
Tell us about the one that got away, the flier that ruined your group, the zero that drifted, the shot you still see when you close your eyes. Winner will receive a free scope!
Sure you can get away with neck sizing for your semiauto. Just dont come here later blaming the gun or the ammo when you kaboom your rifle. Theres plenty of info on any given reloading manual as to why that is a no-no.
All 155, 30 cal bullets are not created equal. The scenar product has the best bc of them all. Beats the crap out of the 175 past 600 yards in windage and elevation. 46 gr of varget gets me around 2930fps out of a 26", 1:11.25 twist match tube from schneider
I have seen more than one s&w 1911 sent back to the factory from our shop. Seems like they have a lot of quality issues. Try running a new production Colt 1911. Very nice and very reliable out of the box.
I have a winchester m70 heavy barrel varmint I got back in '91 for varmint shooting. It has the hs stock and other than a little trigger work and rebedding the action in the stock to my liking it is pretty much a stock rifle. Its not very picky to load for. Likes 50gr vmax or ballistic tips...
Cant go wrong with tried and true mcmillan. Whatever you do make sure you get them with adjustable cheekpieces, but not the saddle type (too thick/ forces your face to the side)
Check out the fifty caliber shooting association. Lots on info on avery aspect of owning a 50 cal
As far as reloading components for the 50, check out bartlett reloaders out of kentucky. Has military powder, brass, bullets at very reasonable prices.
