    Stomped by wind

Alright, I stand by what I said. I ate my words. I’ll shut up and listen now.

    LMT .308 MWS

It’s an AMTAC but I’ve heard the company went to shit. Therefore, I can’t recommend them.

    Stomped by wind

A kestrel is literally a tool to confirm or deny what you think you may know. Frank literally describes using a kestrel to learn wind by feeling, looking at vegetation, mirage, etc and then use the kestrel to determine if your guess was right or not. Some of you act like you’re the best LR...

Night Vision The Official: Steiner C35 Thermal Clip-on Review and User Thread!

Seeing the C35 in front of the RH25 says a lot about the size of the unit.

Night Vision The Official: Steiner C35 Thermal Clip-on Review and User Thread!

How much rail space do you need for mounting? As in, where the mount actually connects to the rail.

    One of my videos.

    Thermal recommendations

What made you glad you didn't get it? I thought that YT video had really good feedback about it, but I've been diving into thermals so much that I can't keep track of specific videos/feedback.

This is a game changer. The PR2 reticle is optimized for NV clip ons at 12x mag. My reticle is useable at 5x, so being able to comfortably use 10x sells me on it. I thought 10x was the top, but it sounds like this will do the trick.

    Stomped by wind

Take the wind reading at your firing position, mid range, and at target. I can drive down to each target area.

I’m pretty much in the same boat. I like the Krypton because it’s not chyneeese and compact/lightweight. However, based on reviews, 6x seems to be where pixels start getting blurry. That’s what makes me lean towards the C35 as feedback says even 10x can be usable. I can’t get over the size and...

    Stomped by wind

I am starting to wonder if I misread my impacts to gather my initial dope and calibration with the AB app. I was thinking about after I went downrange to feel the wind, my impacts on the 700yd target were upper left shoulder on the silhouette plate. Through the scope, it looked like they were...

New 16" upper - LMT, ADM or LWRC?

No, LMT is trash. Stop encouraging people to buy LMT so everything stops selling out in 5 minutes.

    16” 6cm

I never said it outperforms 6mm. I just simply stated that for 6mm it just didn’t make sense when the whole point of 6mm is the speed. If you don’t need high velocity numbers, than a shorter barrel in 6.5 or 308 just makes more sense since the bullets are heavier with good/decent BC. This may...

    16” 6cm

I’ve played with this idea before. I ran the ballistic numbers and just didn’t make sense. Shorter barrel, 308 or 6.5cm. The 6cm really needs the velocity to be worthwhile. Run the numbers for your intended purpose and see if it makes sense for you.

Night Vision EOTECH CLIP ON THERMALS ( Full details)

I’d like to see a video comparison of a high end thermal clip on vs NV PVS30 or PVS24 LR. I know it’s two completely different technologies, but this is where I’m at right now. The biggest appeal to thermal for me is being able to use it regardless of day or night. I wouldn’t use it during broad...

    Weapon Mounted LRF

I didn’t catch the “have just one” part. I would say that’s a fair comparison as to why I went with dual tube NV first vs dedicated weapons mounted.

    Weapon Mounted LRF

Simple, the demand isn’t there. The radius was a product that came out too soon. People were still debating MOA v Mils at the time let alone trying to find faster ways to range and engage targets. I don’t know who spots with rangefinders, so why it being attached to a firearm is a deal breaker...

    Another New guy WA/Seattle

People said the same thing about CA and it hasn’t gotten any better even though people who wanted super liberal policies are leaving. There is a lot of foot voting going on because people like you are not represented in your state. The governor willingly fired anyone without a vax jab that’s a...

Lived in WA for a few years. Got out of there before the political aspect really went downhill. Beautiful state…horrible policies.

    LMT .308 MWS

Barrel is not chopped. 20” 6.5cm. It’s a reflex suppressor, so 6” of the suppressor is over the barrel and 3.5” is only added to the end of the muzzle.
