Describe your definition of “Alpha Glass”

My buddy has about 50k in various guitars but refuses to upgrade his scope. He shoots and competes with a DMR II. which is a good scope for the $800 he paid on closeout.

Dude, it didn’t go without notice. I’m just newish here and was being kind.

Describe your definition of “Alpha Glass”

Indeed it would, that was outside of my thought process. Thanks. I’m a regular ole TL3 and Bartlien screwed on tight until its toast guy.

Describe your definition of “Alpha Glass”

Why are you resting your turrets often enough for that to be the show stopper for you? Honest question, I might reset mine once per thousand rounds or so.

Describe your definition of “Alpha Glass”

And in the right conditions it can spots hits on paper at 500 yards.

Describe your definition of “Alpha Glass”

I am still amazed at how my ZCO cuts mirage. How’s that?

What happened to that primer? Try to seat another one on top of it?

    What Am I doing Wrong

Raise the ram, screw the seating die down until it touches, lower the ram, screw it in a quarter of a turn more and lock it down. Size a case and see what happens. If you’ve already done this I apologize, I just didn’t see where you stated it.

    Planning ahead...

A couple of nice 22 LR and a little lot testing goes a long way towards a rewarding range trip. No prep and you can stack the ammo pretty deep. 200-300 yard with a 22 is no joke.

    Planning ahead...

This a new problem for me. For 26 years I worked a schedule where I had a couple days off during the week when my wife worked. I took my time for granted and would often load just in time to do something, I had the time. For a couple of months now I’ve been working weekdays and get home from...

    Interpreting Ladder Test

In my experience a rifle will shoot good with any reasonable load if it’s built right. A smith who built a rifle for me told me step it up until I found pressure then back off half a grain and that’s the load. I thought he was crazy, until he was right. I’ve never had that experience with a...

    7mm SAW

According to your numbers my math says a type 1 will be jumping .020” at maximum mag length. This is assuming the type two jumps .080” as you describe. I guess I’m misunderstanding what you’re saying.

Is Gene your gunsmith or someone from carbonSix?

    SAC And 419 Dies

It should be pretty well aligned by the mandrel itself. I decap separately so I don’t have one. Just talking out my ass but it makes sense.

Tikka 260 Rem - First 9 Shots With Different Charge Weights Have Flyers

It appears someone needs to read the entire thread. It doesn’t appear to be a stock T3 Lite and he should expect more than he is getting from what he has.

Tikka 260 Rem - First 9 Shots With Different Charge Weights Have Flyers

It never gets shot for groups since load development but it pretty consistently hits the 3” steel at 500 yards when I do my part.

Tikka 260 Rem - First 9 Shots With Different Charge Weights Have Flyers

It’s faster than the 4831sc but I also believe it is the correct powder for 140 class bullets in the .260. I do use it in the CTR .260 and am rather heavy handed with it at 2677 in a 20” barrel.

Tikka 260 Rem - First 9 Shots With Different Charge Weights Have Flyers

If you don’t find happiness I would try H-4350.

    7mm SAW

it can happen to any of them. I had a Proof prefit that was junky that they happily replaced and a Bartlein that the smith jacked up. After a new chamber and crown being cut the Bartlein may be the most accurate I’ve owned to date. I would be looking at Varget but I don’t think you’ll get...

Is this a good setup for a new guy?

The Redding premiums set you mentioned are good dies. I wouldn’t hesitate to use those.
